Day 1

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

Today after breakfast, you will be picked up from your lodge and drive to Tarangire National Park with lunch boxes. The drive to Tarangire National Park is about 110km and takes about 2 hours from Arusha.
Tarangire National Park is best known for its large herds of elephants, lions, leopards, wonderful for bird life and a great variety of landscapes and wildlife. The gorgeous Silale Swamp, towards the south of the park, is magnificent and almost always rich in wildlife taking advantage of this reliable water source. The park provides water not only from the swamp but also from the Tarangire River. During the dry season, it’s the primary source of water for animals from the entire area, making for fantastic viewing.
After a full day in the park, you will drive a short distance to Maramboi Tented Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park

This is another lovely park, lying roughly between Tarangire and the Ngorongoro Crater. It boasts a beautiful little groundwater forest where you can spot blue monkeys, lots of giraffes, elephants, lions, leopards and a very pretty lake dusted pink in the distance with flamingos. Stretching for 50km along the base of the rusty-gold 600m high Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara is a scenic gem, with a setting extolled by Ernest Hemingway as “the loveliest I had seen in Africa.” From the entrance gate, the road winds through an expanse of the lush jungle-like forest where several strong baboon troops lounge nonchalantly along the roadside, blue monkeys scamper nimbly between the ancient mahogany trees, dainty bushbucks tread through the shadows and outsized forest hornbills honk in the high canopy.
You will enjoy your lunch box in the park and continue with the game drive. In the late afternoon, you will drive to Kitela Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Main Destination:
Lake Manyara National Park
Best Time To Visit June to October (Easier to spot animals)
High Season July to March (The northern section gets crowded)

Central Serengeti National Park

Central Serengeti National Park

Today after breakfast, your driver/guide will pick you from up your lodge and drive to the famous Serengeti.
You will visit a Maasai Village in the Ngorongoro Highlands (optional) where you will meet the elders, warriors, women and children and learn about the culture, beliefs and traditions of Tanzania’s last nomadic tribe.
The central Serengeti boasts those spectacular “endless plains,” dotted with acacia trees and the occasional rocky kopjes. What is special about Central Serengeti is the wide open spaces, driving through the miles and miles of animals as far as the eye can see, riverine forests and leopards. There is a nice chance of seeing leopards along the river valleys and wildebeests spread over a large area (it can be visited at any time of the year).

You will have your lunch in the park and thereafter continue with the game drive. In the evening, you will drive to an authentic intimate tented camp set in a secluded part of the game-rich Seronera Valley in Central Serengeti.

Main Destination:
Central Serengeti National Park
Best Time To Visit January to February and June to October (Different areas are best at different times)
High Season July to March (The Seronera area is crowded)

You will then drive back to the lodge for a delicious breakfast followed by a pure relaxation break. You will then go for another game drive and sunset viewing over the Serengeti.

The crater boasts lots of lions, hyenas, fantastic bird life, servals, Cape buffalos, zebras and gorgeous landscapes. Also, there is an added advantage of seeing rhinos if you are lucky. The view from the veranda of the lodges is breath-taking especially with the early morning mist because of the high altitude (it can be visited at any time of the year).
