Zanzibar to Mikumi National Park

This tour will start from your hotel in Zanzibar, where our driver will pick you up from your hotel at 5:30am. From here, you will proceed to the airport to catch a flight to Mikumi National Park, which departs at 7:00am. Your pick-up time will depend on the location of your hotel—clients staying north of Zanzibar or south of Stone Town will be picked up at times above. Otherwise, if you are staying in Stone Town, we will pick you up at 6:00am as the drive to the airport is less have 30 minutes.

On arrival at the airstrip, our driver will meet you and start the safari without delay. Explore Mikumi National Park for the entire day with an afternoon lunch break in the bush. End the day with an afternoon game drive before heading to your booked accommodation at Camp Bastian Mikumi on a full-board basis.

Before heading into the camp, you will have a moment to chat with members of the local Maasai people at their boma, where you will learn about their way of life and distinct culture.

Mikumi National Park to Zanzibar

After breakfast, you will depart for a full-day game drive at Mikumi National Park to explore the park and have an experience of a lifetime. You will have your lunch box to enjoy during the game drive.

After the game drive, you will travel towards the airstrip to catch your flight at 4:30pm to Zanzibar, where you will arrive at 5:15pm. Our driver will be waiting at the airport to transfer you to your accommodation in Zanzibar. Your drop-off marks the end of the tour.

General expectations: You can expect to see different animals, such as lions, elephants, Thomson gazelle, and giraffes, as you sit close to the hippo pool.

Meeting the Masai and hearing about their way of life is truly a beautiful time and memorable experience.
