Day 1

Arusha - Tarangire National Park

Arusha - Tarangire National Park

Your tour starts with the drive to Tarangire, the third-largest national park in northern Tanzania, and a sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife, including lion, leopard, cheetah, and up to six thousand elephants. Here, you will depart with a lunchbox from Arusha and enjoy your picnic lunch at the nice picnic site with a lovely view of the Tarangire River. Later on, you'll drive to your lodge, situated outside the park with a fantastic view of Lake Burunge/ Lake Manyara, and some animals as well pass near your room from Tarangire National Park.

Day 2

Tarangire - Lake Manyara National Park

Tarangire - Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, you will proceed to Lake Manyara National Park. Depending on the weather, you may enter the park through the southern gate called Iyambi, where you will have enough time to discover the park. Then, you will proceed to the park for a wonderful game drive till sunset. Later, you will exit the park by Northen gate and proceed to Karatu for an overnight stay.

Day 3

Manyara - Central Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you'll start on your way to Serengeti National Park. A picnic lunch will be provided. After stopping for your picnic lunch on a kopje (rock outcropping) in Serengeti, you will continue further into the park and go on a game drive. Later, you will arrive at your lodge for the night.

Day 4

Serengeti National Park Full Game Drive

Serengeti National Park Full Game Drive

You'll have an early start today for an early morning game drive to see also nocturnal predators returning from hunting and animals waking up in early morning light. You can take breakfast boxes with you and have a bush breakfast when the sun is up before you visit the interesting documentation center about Serengeti at Seronera. You'll return to your lodge for a relaxed lunch under the shade of an old acacia tree, or you can make a full day with lunch boxes.
In the afternoon, you can go out again on game drives or undertake a nature walk around the Lodge/ camp with some resident locals. They are happy to share their knowledge of the plants and animals surrounding them.

Day 5

Serengeti - Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, you will proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the crater for the same day, or you can make next day, for a wonderful game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater, considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, the Ngorongoro Crater has the highest wild animal density worldwide. Among the species are lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds, and other species. Expect to see the Big Five in one day.

Day 6

Ngorongoro - Lake Eyasi

Ngorongoro - Lake Eyasi

From Ngorongoro, you'll proceed to Lake Eyasi, home to the hunter-gatherer ethnic group of the Hadzabe bushmen bearing similar characteristics to those of bushmen in Southern Africa. The small people of this indigenous community are probably the last living in true harmony with nature and have a wealth of Fauna and Flora knowledge to share with us. Around Lake Eyasi, you will also visit the remotely living Datoga people, famous for their colorful leather dresses. The day is filled with visits and cultural encounters around Lake Eyasi until you enjoy a beautiful sunset at the banks of Lake Eyasi.

Day 7

Lake Eyasi - Arusha

In the morning before breakfast, you will go out with the Hadzabe Bushmen for a morning hunt. After hunting, you will drive back to the lodge for breakfast. Later, you'll pack your luggage and leave around 11 am for Arusha. You'll arrive early in the evening, so if you have any other connection you will have enough time.
