Arrival and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Uganda

Arrive at Kigali international airport where you will be picked up by Nsavi Safaris guide and start your journey to Uganda, cross the border and continue to one of the most rive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The park is home to the endangered mountain gorillas and hosts a variety of spectacular birds including 23 of the 24 Albertine Rift endemic bird species including Blue-throated Broadbill, bar-tailed Trogon, and other beautiful forest species. You shall go to bed earlier this evening so that you are well rested for a thrilling experience of gorilla tracking the next day.

Gorilla Trekking

Early morning drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park headquarters where you will have an orientation and meet your guides for the day. Trekking the Mountain Gorilla is one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The trek will take between 2 and 7 hours but is well worth the effort. You will be led by an experienced ranger who will tell you interesting facts about flora and fauna and the lifestyle of the Gorillas. The trekking is a thrill and yet challenging as you hike through the forest to the Gorillas and once you reach a gorilla family, you will have a chance to observe the family in close proximity for an hour. Thereafter, cross the border back to Kigali and drop off at the airport for your connecting onward flight back home.
