Fly-in from Zanzibar to Nyerere National Park and Game Drives

We will pick you up from your hotel at 5:00am (or 4:30am, depending on the location of your hotel) and transfer you to the airport. You will depart on your outbound flight to Nyerere National Park at 6:00am.

Upon arrival at Nyerere National Park, you will check in and go for a game drive inside the park, marking the start of this wonderful and memorable safari.

Nyerere National Park boasts a large population of elephants, buffalo, hippos, crocodiles, and endangered wild dog. Commonly seen are prides of lion and herds of bushbuck, impala, warthogs, ostrich, giraffe, eland, baboon, zebra, hyena, kudu, rare sable antelope, and leopard. You might also see the rare African hunting dog among these animal sightings.

You will stop at 1:00pm for lunch, embark on a game drive for the rest of the day, and later drive to the accommodation for dinner and your overnight stay.

Game Drive and Return Flight to Zanzibar

Early in the morning, at 6:30am, you embark on a game drive in the park after breakfast. Our professional guide will accompany you on this game drive.

You will see a large variety of birds and the incredible scenery of varied topography: wetlands, dry grassland, light acacia forest, and higher ground with vast views of far-off mountains. You will stop for lunch at 1:30pm and enjoy a short break before continuing the game drive at 3:00pm. Once the game drive is complete, we will transfer you to Zanzibar for your 4:00pm flight. Depending on your requirements, we can drop you off at the airport or a hotel. The drop-off marks the end of the tour.
