Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha

Distance: 130km

Following an early breakfast at the lodge, you will embark on a journey to Ngorongoro Crater, which is over six hundred meters deep. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area supports a diverse array of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and majestic African elephants. Another major attraction of this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, featuring lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, which occasionally requires a keen eye to spot. Additionally, we will visit Lake Magadi, a vast yet shallow alkaline lake at the southwestern corner of the crater. This area typically offers sightings of a large number of flamingos, hippos, and other water birds. The journey concludes with a drive back to Arusha.
