Kubwa Five Safaris guide will pick you up from Maun International Airport in the morning and drive you to Okavango Delta.

On arrival in Okavango, you will go for an evening game drive. The Okavango Delta is home to some of the world’s most remarkable and endangered mammals. They move between the fertile plains and the fringes of the marshland, making for incredible game viewing.

Throughout the Okavango, it’s possible to spot rare predators like cheetahs, lions, leopards, and African wild dogs, as well as endangered black and white rhinoceros. Zebras, various species of antelopes, giraffes, buffaloes and elephants also thrive in the delta and surrounding plains.

Morning Game Drive | Mokoro Trip | Evening Game Drive

After breakfast, you will head out for a morning game drive. There are large animal populations in the Okavango Delta that are otherwise rare, such as the Nile crocodiles, red lechwe, sitatunga, elephants, wild dogs, buffalos, wattled cranes and many more common mammals and bird life.

You will return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will go for a mokoro trip.

The mokoro or makoro (mekoro, plural), is a traditional canoe-like vessel commonly used in the Okavango Delta as a popular mode of transport.

You will have an evening game drive after the mokoro trip.

You will depart from Moremi Game Reserve and be driven to the Savuti area. The Savuti is a region within the heart of the Chobe National Park that is secretly located away from the peak season crowds at the Chobe riverfront.

The channel does not have to be flowing for wonderful wildlife experiences. This is a year-round destination, justifiably renowned for large concentrations of game. Savuti is known for predators, both big cats (lion, leopard and cheetah) and birds of prey. Spotted hyena and their chilly cries are a staple and many big bull elephants live out largely solitary years here.

After breakfast, you will be driven to Ngorongoro Crater passing through open plains south of Arusha town and eventually the forested slopes of Ngorongoro Crater Highlands before arriving at the rim of the crater.

You will descend into the crater which is one of the most densely crowded game areas in the world, home to nearly 40,000 animals. Here we’ll have a good chance of seeing the Big Five: lion, leopard, rare black rhino, buffalo, and elephants. Along with the Big Five, you will also see herds of wildebeests, zebras, and Thomson’s gazelles.
After a picnic lunch, you will continue your game drive.

After an early breakfast, you will descend through the forested slopes of the Ngorongoro Highlands for a morning game drive en route to the Serengeti. You’ll stop at Olduvai Gorge to visit the site where the fossils of a distant ancestor of man, believed to be about 1.8 million years old were discovered. You will arrive at your accommodation in time for lunch.

Thereafter, you will head out for a game drive.

The Serengeti National Park, meaning “endless plains” in the Maasai language, is undoubtedly one of the world’s most celebrated wilderness areas and is an ongoing source of inspiration to writers, filmmakers, and photographers. It is Tanzania’s oldest game reserve, renowned for the part it plays in the annual Great Migration when an estimated three million antelope and wildebeests migrate to Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve. Today’s drive takes you through the Central Serengeti from west to east and back through the Ngorongoro Crater Highlands to the base of the Rift Valley Escarpment; a dramatic bluff nearly 2,000ft high. You will have an evening game drive.

Here lies a narrow belt of acacia woodland and a floodplain that is filled seasonally by Lake Manyara. Encompassing this area is Lake Manyara National Park which is often overlooked, but game-rich and best known for its tree-climbing lions.

The park is inhabited by over 380 types of birds and many animal species including elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, leopards, lions, baboons, hippos, antelopes, warthogs and many others.

Tarangire is well known for its huge elephant population and its migratory cycle that includes thousands of elephants, wildebeest, and zebras.

After the game drive, you will drive to Arusha for dinner and an overnight stay at Outpost Lodge.
