Day 1

Upon arrival in Uganda in the morning, you will be welcomed by a Kubwa Five Safaris guide at Entebbe International Airport, who will be holding an A4 paper with your name printed on it. You will then be transferred to Kibale National Park, driving through the Mityana and Kyejonjo districts before reaching the colorful and beautiful town of Fort Portal. Fort Portal is the capital of the Tooro kingdom and is situated in the shadow of the fabled "Mountains of the Moon," the Rwenzori. You will either have lunch on the way or at your lodge.

Upon arrival, you will check in at the lodge and then proceed to the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. This fascinating area, located in Magombe swamp, is renowned for its extensive biodiversity, including several primate species such as the red colobus monkey, baboon, blue monkey, grey-cheeked mangabey, vervet monkey, red-tailed monkey, and the L’Hoest monkey.

Day 2

After an early morning breakfast, you will gather your trekking gear and a packed lunch for chimpanzee tracking, which typically starts early and lasts about two to three hours (depending on the chimps' location).

Next, you will head to Queen Elizabeth National Park, a vast area where wildlife and people coexist harmoniously. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. This cruise offers some of the best wildlife viewing opportunities in the park. You can see squacco herons, pied kingfishers, large herds of buffalo and hippo, basking crocodiles, and numerous bird species.

The boat ride is one of the park’s most memorable experience. Over 300 hippos are often seen in the lake. After the cruise, you will embark on an evening game drive in the park, hoping to witness lions hunting during the cooler temperatures of the evening.

Day 3

After an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park to search for the tree-climbing lions on the Kasenyi Plains in the southern sector of the park. These lions are occasionally spotted lounging on the branches of large fig trees, while the Uganda Kob, their primary prey, graze on the plains of the Ishasha sector.

After the game drive in Ishasha, you will continue to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, the renowned home of the mountain gorillas. Prepare for another highlight of this remarkable trip: tracking mountain gorillas.

Upon arrival, you will embark on a community walk to visit the Batwa, an indigenous group of people who have lived in the forest for thousands of years. You’ll enjoy traditional dances performed by them.

Day 4

After breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters with your guide for a briefing on the do’s and don’ts of gorilla trekking. Following the briefing, you’ll embark on your gorilla trek through the misty rainforest. The trek can last anywhere from 2-6 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla family you are tracking. Be sure to bring plenty of water, sturdy shoes, a non-flash camera, and a rain jacket.

At the end of this long and exciting adventure, you’ll return to your lodge to freshen up, have lunch, and relax. In the evening, we’ll check out and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, which features 29 islands of various shapes and sizes.

Dinner and overnight stay will be at the resort.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Lake Mburo National Park. Upon arrival, you will check into your lodge and have lunch before embarking on a boat cruise. This is one of the most memorable experiences in the park. You can observe upwards of 300 hippos in the lake and enjoy the sights and sounds of various water birds and animals such as African crocodiles, waterbucks, and buffaloes during the cruise.

After the boat cruise, you will go on a breathtaking evening game drive, experiencing the true wilderness of the park.

Day 6

You will start your day with an early breakfast before heading out for the day's activities. You can choose between a walking safari, horse riding, or a bicycle safari. Lake Mburo National Park offers a rich diversity of habitats, including savannah vegetation, woodlands, forests, and seasonal and permanent swamps, all of which make it suitable for a wide variety of wildlife and bird species.

A walking safari in Lake Mburo National Park is a magical way to experience the bush trails of the park up close. After the activity, you will enjoy lunch before being driven to Kampala. Along the way, you will stop at the equator in Masaka, to see where this imaginary line divides our planet into two equal hemispheres. You can also purchase snacks, souvenirs, and take photographs here. Please note that you will need to have a PCR Covid-19 test either in Kabale or Kampala.

Upon arrival at Serengeti National Park, you will embark on an evening game drive.

Our guides will choose the best wildlife spotting locations for the time of year. We can spend time at the hippo pool watching these majestic animals laze about in the cool water and living alongside the crocodiles. You can also observe large lion prides and many other species.

Serengeti National Park is Tanzania’s oldest game reserve and is renowned for its role in the annual Great Migration, when an estimated three million animals migrate to Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Reserve.
