Day 1

Mount Kilimanjaro Hike to Mandara Hut

The hike of 3 to 4 hours will take you to Mandara Hut at an elevation of 2,720 meters above sea level. Along the way, you will have the chance to spot black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, and various bird species.

Our knowledgeable and experienced guides will give you all the necessary information about Mount Kilimanjaro and explain the different species of plants and animals you will come across along the way.

When reaching Mandara Hut, you will enjoy a well-earned lunch and rest before proceeding with the hike for 15 minutes to the Maundi Crater. Here you will enjoy wonderful views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Northern Tanzania, and Kenya across the border.

You will then return to the Marangu Gate, a journey that will take 1 to 2 hours. Your vehicle will be waiting for you for a transfer back to your hotel in Arusha.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

Depart from Arusha at 07:30 am and head to Tarangire National Park. It takes only 2 to 2.5 hours (120km) to drive to the national park entrance.

You will have about 10 minutes for the washroom at the entrance while your guide completes the legal formalities at the park authority offices before the morning and afternoon game drives (lunch included). In the early evening after the game drive, you will exit the park and head to the Karatu Safari Camp Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Serengeti National Park

Today your trip will start early in the morning after a hot breakfast. You will depart from the lodge and get ready to spend 2 days at Serengeti National Park. While heading to Serengeti, you will transit via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for an en-route game drive and the chance to spot the view of Ngorongoro Crater before reaching the Serengeti entrance gate (Naabi Gate).

After lunch, continue on the afternoon game drive until the evening when you will go to Seronera Campsite for dinner and overnight.

Day 4

Exploring Serengeti National Park

Exploring Serengeti National Park

Today the game drive will start at sunrise. After a simple breakfast (a cup of coffee or tea and snacks), you will start the morning game drive at around 06:00 am. At around 09:30 am, you will return to the campsite for a full breakfast.

After breakfast, you will proceed with a game drive until the afternoon when you will exit the park. Head to Simba Campsite located at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for dinner and overnight.

Day 5

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, depart from the campsite with your picnic lunch and descend to the amazing Ngorongoro Crater to spend your day enjoying the wonders of the crater.

In the crater, there is a high possibility to spot all of the Big 5 animals (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino), depending on the day. During the afternoon, you will be served lunch followed by an afternoon game drive until the evening when you will exit the park and return to your accommodation for an overnight stay.

Today is your final day of the amazing wildlife adventure in the Northern parks where you will end up at Lake Manyara. After breakfast, leave the campsite and head to the park, a drive of 30 minutes (28km). After completing the legal formalities, the morning game drive will begin.

You will enjoy your lunch at the picnic site before proceeding with the afternoon game drive until the evening. Later, you will exit the park and return to Arusha for dinner and overnight.

Day 7

Materuni & Chemka Hot Spring

Materuni & Chemka Hot Spring

You will be picked up from the hotel and driven to the Materuni village where you will embark on a short but challenging hike to the Materuni Falls. Here, you can relax and enjoy the beautiful view of the waterfall.

Later, you will make your way to a nearby coffee farm where you will learn how coffee is grown, harvested, and processed. You will have the opportunity to try roasting and preparing your own fresh cup of raw, local coffee! Proceed with traditional local food preparations (cooking) and enjoy a delicious meal before making your way to a nearby hot spring. The warm water and beautiful scenery make this spring one of the best places to swim.

After your swim, you will drive back to the hotel or the airport for your flight.
