Full Day in Masai Mara National Reserve

You will spend the second day in Masai Mara exploring the extensive grasslands on a full-day game drive. You will get a packed lunch and enjoy a picnic in the wild. Masai Mara National Reserve is renowned for hosting the great wildebeest migration. During this migration, millions of wildebeest cross the Mara River yearly from the Serengeti in search of green pastures and water. As they make their way across the Mara River, some of them are eaten by the hungry crocodiles awaiting them on the river banks (from mid-June until the end of October). The great migration is listed as one of the world's wonders and is an experience you will never forget. In addition, Masai Mara is home to other animals like waterbuck, baboons, gazelles, monkeys, impalas, Masai giraffes, and over 500 bird species. Later, you will look for a perfect spot under a shady acacia tree for your picnic lunch and marvel at the savanna's views. Return to the camp around 5:00pm.
