Pick up at Kigoma airport take boat to Gombe NP for chimpanzee treking

On your arrival at Kigoma airport, you will be picked up and taken to the ferry for a 2-hour boat transfer to Gombe National Park. Experience the incredible waters of Lake Tanganyika. On arrival, check in at your accommodation, get your hot lunch, meet with a professional armed ranger and begin your 3-4 hour chimpanzee trek within the dense tropical forests of Gombe Stream National Park. Observe various chimpanzee clans, warthogs, baboons and many monkey species. Return to camp for refreshments and dinner.

After your hot breakfast go for a full day chimpanzee treking with your ranger

After taking your hot breakfast, your tour guide will pick you up again go for a full day trekking at Gombe Mainstream National Park, another day of your adventurte, Gombe's chimps are the main attraction, but the park is also home to a troop of habituated olive baboon that can usually be found on the lakeshore. There are several other monkey species present, including red colobus monkey, which are sometimes hunted by the chimps, after this activity go for your overnight stay.

Early morning after your hot breakfast take boat to Kigoma for your overnight stay

The bustling town of Kigoma is the regional capital of western Tanzania and a central port in the area, located on the eastern shores of Lake Tanganyika, Kigoma is surrounded by rugged mountains and forests that make it a pleasing and beautiful location. Historically, the town was the final stop of the Central Line railway, built in the 20th century to transport agricultural goods from the African hinterland to the East African Coast.
