Day 1

You will be picked up from your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala by our driver guide. He will brief you and then drive you southwest to Bwindi Forest. You will have two stopovers; one at the equator to buy crafts and take photos, and another in Mbarara for lunch. Proceed with your journey to the magnificent forest and home of the mountain gorillas and other primate species, arriving at your destination in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 2
Gorilla Trekking - Bwindi Forest
Gorilla Trekking - Bwindi Forest
After a tasty breakfast, ensure you take your packed lunch from the lodge as you drive straight to the headquarters. Here, you will meet fellow trekkers and be briefed concerning gorilla trekking. You will then start trekking, led by the park's ranger guides who are well-informed and knowledgeable about these gorillas. The time it takes depends on the movement of the mountain gorillas - it can last anything between 2 and 8 hours.
You are advised to carry enough water, sunglasses, raincoats, and hats, and to wear sturdy shoes. You will be allowed to spend 1 hour with the gorillas. Return to your lodge and relax. During the evening hours, you can decide to stay at the lodge and rest or visit the Batwa community where you will discover a lot about their culture and customs. Come back for dinner and have an overnight stay.

Day 3
Travel to Queen Elizabeth via the Ishasha Sector - Boat Cruise
Travel to Queen Elizabeth via the Ishasha Sector - Boat Cruise
After breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth passing through the Ishasha sector. This area is well known for tree-climbing lions and other wildlife species such as monkeys, kobs, buffaloes, elephants, and birds among others. Upon arrival at the park, you will check in at the lodge and enjoy a delicious lunch as you prepare to go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. From the boat, you will see a lot of water animals like hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and elephants that come to drink water as well as different bird species like the malachite kingfisher and saddle-billed stork among others. Head back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4
Chimpanzee Tracking and boat ride
Chimpanzee Tracking and boat ride
Wake up early for breakfast and drive out to the nearby Kalinzu Forest Reserve. The forest is home to habituated chimpanzees plus other primates including baboons, monkeys, and also various bird species. Today, you will spend the early part of the day tracking chimpanzees. Thereafter, return to the accommodation for some time to rest and lunch. After lunch, you will go for a 2-hour boat trip on the Kazinga Channel that connects Lakes George and Edward. During the trip, the sight of wildlife including giant hippos, elephants, and crocodiles among others, will fascinate you. You will also see many varieties of birds on the water shores.

Have breakfast and have an en-route game drive as you drive out of the park with lunch on the way. You will arrive at Entebbe Airport or your hotel in Kampala in the evening.
