Arusha - Tarangire Nationalpark

The safari starts around 8 a.m., after your breakfast. The safari guide will pick you up at your hotel, lodge, or hostel in Arusha. The drive to Tarangire National Park takes about 2 hours, and you will be at the gate of Tarangire National Park at about 10 a.m. From here, you will already start your safari; you will have a full-day game drive in the national park, and you will be back at the campsite around 5 p.m. On this camping safari, you will partly help the guides with setting up and taking down the tents.

Highlights of Tarangire National Park:
- The paradise of elephants (the largest concentration of elephants in the world)
- huge baobab trees
- Perfect for bird lovers.
- Many other animals like monkeys, leopards, lions, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, etc.

Note: On this safari, you will help the guide set up and take down the tents. There will be a private cook who will prepare each meal fresh.

Transit to Serengeti National Park

Today we have a longer drive to the famous Serengeti National Park. After breakfast, at about 8 a.m., the drive will begin. The drive will take about 3 hours, but don't worry, it will be anything but boring. You will be at Serengeti Gate in time for lunch at 1 p.m. There, you will get your lunch, and you can go for a short walk. The break will last about an hour, and after that, you will start your half-day game drive. At about 6 p.m., you will be at the public campsite.

Highlights of the transit day:
- Drive through colourful towns and villages.
- Beautiful landscapes
- Ngorongoro Gate: short break, chance to see baboons, and learn about the history of the crater
- Ngorongoro: view point, perfect place for a short photo session, and a nice view over the whole crater
- Drive from the viewpoint to the Serengeti Gate; from here, you can already see many animals
- On the drive, there are also many Masai villages.
- Additional: visit to a Maasai village (extra cost).

Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Today the safari starts early in the morning, at about 6 a.m. for sunrise. After about 4 hours, you will drive back to the camp to have brunch and pick up your luggage. After that, you will do another game drive and slowly drive back towards Ngorongoro Crater to spend the night at Simba Campsite.

Ngorongoro Crater

Today is the last day of the safari. We start again early in the morning, around 6 a.m., to drive down into the Ngorongoro crater. On this half-day game drive, you will have the chance to see many animals and also have the best chance to see a rhino. At the lake, you will have lunch and observe hippos. Around 14:00, you will start the drive towards Arusha, which will take about 3 hours. Around 17:00 to 18:00, you will be back at the lodge in Arusha.
