We're as excited as you are to get started on your Ugandan safari. Meet and greet with your tour guide from Frank Tours Uganda at Entebbe Airport, it's time to get out there and find the animals for which Uganda is so famous.

Set on the Lake Victoria shore 40km south of the capital Kampala, Entebbe provides a rewarding introduction to Uganda for wildlife enthusiasts. Colobus and vervet monkeys swing through the jungle-like suburbia, while a dazzling birdlife includes colorful turacos, chattering plantain-eaters and majestic fish eagles.

Travel to lake Mburo National Park go on game drive

Part of the ancient Ankole Kingdom, Lake Mburo National Park is conveniently located halfway between Kampala and the Gorilla Highlands of southwest Uganda. Large carnivores are unlikely to be seen, but the park offers your best chance anywhere in Uganda of spotting an elusive leopard. Lake Mburo itself is home to large numbers of hippo and aquatic birds including the localized African finfoot. Other wildlife includes buffalo, giraffe, zebra and Uganda's only population of the impala antelope (for which Kampala is named).

Nature Walk and Travel to Bwindi Impenertable Forest

Go for an early morning nature walk joined by an armed ranger in the park for about 2 hours after breakfast. Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The forest protects one of Africa’s most ancient highland forests. It has been inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site on account of its rich biodiversity, which includes a great many plants and animals whose range is restricted to the Albertine Rift Valley. The best known of these is of course the mountain gorilla, but other local specialties include the handsome L’Hoest’s monkey, spectacular Rwenzori three-horned chameleon and eagerly sought African green broadbill.

Early morning breakfast and then head out for Africa’s most coveted travel adventure: mountain gorilla trekking in the thick jungles of the impenetrable Bwindi rain forest. Back to the lodge for lunch and a brief relaxation before going out again for the visit Batwa Pygmy community / village walk.

This morning we take you to the next stage of the Safari. You will have a game drive en route in Ishasha. Explore Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda's best all-round safari destination. In addition to being home to four of the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant and buffalo), this biodiverse park is studded with wetlands that support an astonishing 5,000 hippos along with large flocks of flamingos, pelicans and other aquatic birds. Weather permitting, the views to the glacial peaks of the Rwenzori, Africa's second-highest mountain (after Kilimanjaro), are also exceptional.

Go on an early morning game drive after breakfast to enjoy wildlife up close when they are active and landscape so beautiful birders will love the afternoon boat but there is also generally a lot of wildlife activity especially hippos, Elephants, Crocodile and Buffaloes being common.
