Day 1

Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park

Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park

Your safari kicks off with a morning departure from Nairobi, heading northwest through Kenya’s fertile highlands and winding into the dramatic descent of the Great Rift Valley. The drive is scenic — think sweeping escarpments, roadside viewpoints, and market towns humming with local rhythm.

By midday, you arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park, a compact gem nestled within an ancient volcanic basin. After check-in and lunch at your lodge, you’ll head out for an afternoon game drive.

Nakuru is about contrast: acacia forests, euphorbia thickets, wide open plains, and of course, the shimmering alkaline lake. Keep your lens ready for white rhinos grazing along the lakeshore, giraffes moving through fever trees, and lions possibly lounging near the park’s rocky outcrops. And if conditions are right? A soft pink shimmer of flamingos at the shoreline.

Return to the lodge as the sun dips low, casting long shadows across the water — a perfect backdrop to start your wild journey.

Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, check out and begin the journey south to Masai Mara, Kenya’s premier wildlife reserve. The drive is long but layered — from farmlands to rolling hills, crossing Maasai country where herders walk in rhythm with their cattle.

Arrive at your Mara camp in time for a late lunch. After a short rest, gear up for your first afternoon game drive inside the reserve.

This is your introduction to the Mara’s raw magic — open plains dotted with elephants, towering giraffes, and the slow prowl of big cats as the evening cools. It’s golden hour: rich light, dramatic sky, and wildlife in motion.

Day 3

Masai Mara National Reserve

Masai Mara National Reserve

Today is your full-day safari in the world-renowned Masai Mara — a day to go deeper, stay longer, and feel fully immersed in the rhythm of the wild. With a picnic lunch packed and your expert guide leading the way, you’ll explore the reserve’s rolling plains, seasonal riverbanks, and wildlife-rich hotspots. This is Big Five territory, and each turn holds promise — a lioness guiding her cubs through the grass, a leopard stretched across a fig tree, or a tower of giraffes silhouetted against open sky. Watch elephants lumber past with quiet strength, follow cheetahs scanning for movement, and marvel as zebras gather in dazzling formation. Along the way, you’ll also catch flashes of birdlife — rollers, eagles, kingfishers — all painting the air with color. As the day winds down and the sun begins to dip, return to camp dusted by the day’s adventure, camera full, heart fuller.

Your final morning begins with a cultural encounter — a visit to a nearby Maasai village, where the traditions of one of Kenya’s most iconic communities come to life. Step inside a manyatta, meet the elders, witness traditional dances, and gain insight into a way of life rooted in resilience and pride.

After the village visit, check out and begin your journey back to Nairobi. You’ll arrive in the early evening, with drop-off at your hotel or directly at the airport, depending on your onward plans.
