Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park

You will be picked up from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by our English-speaking guide who will brief you on the safari you are about to embark on. Head towards Nakuru town through Limuru which is home to a number of tea plantations, the reason being the climate is gentle and the rainfall is regular and reliable. You will also pass by the Great Rift Valley. You can stop for some time to take in the scenic view. Proceed to Ziwa Bush Lodge and arrive in time for lunch. After lunch, head to Lake Nakuru National Park for an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is located in the volcanic zone, and the lake water has high salinity, which is suitable for the growth of plankton, which is the staple food of flamingos, so it is known as "the paradise of flamingos". Lake Nakuru National Park is a park established to protect avian birds and is known as a "bird-watching paradise".

After the game drive, proceed to the hotel for dinner and your overnight stay.

Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, depart to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve and arrive in time for lunch. Masai Mara National Reserve is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. Its animals include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos. Wildebeests traverse their plains during their annual migration. The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills and is crossed by the Mara and Talek Rivers. The area nearby is dotted with villages (enkangs) of the Maasai people.
After lunch, relax a bit at the camp and enjoy its amenities and then proceed for a game drive at 4 o'clock. Get to see different wildlife species including the Big Five with the help of an experienced guide who will make your safari memorable. Dinner and your overnight stay are at the camp.

Masai Mara National Reserve

On this day, you can choose to go on a full-day game drive in the Mara or morning and afternoon game drives. You can opt for an early morning baloon safari ride(paid direct). Between the game drive, there could be an optional visit to the local Maasai village (paid direct). The trees in the distance might turn out to be a family of giraffes, those clumps of bushes, a pride of lions, and the rock that moves a rhino lumbering out of your way. You are also likely to encounter a family of cheetahs or a herd of elephants crossing the path in front of you.

Large animals are not the only entertainment—a family of warthogs may amuse you by running as fast as their little legs will carry them until they forget why they are rushing and stop to regroup.

Masai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi

On this day you will have breakfast, then check out of the lodge and depart for Nairobi through the breathtaking views of the Great rift valley. You will be dropped off at your Nairobi hotel or at the airport for your flight back home.
As well as the wildlife, the park is home to the community of Masai warriors. Their bravery is known the world over in their battles with the animals of the savanna, and they welcome you into their culture with traditional song and dance. You have a chance to witness their culture and visit a home to better know their extraordinary way of life. This visit is optional and there is an extra fee of US$30 applicable.
Optional activities on this day can be, half day city tour, cultural experience at the Bomas of Kenya and dinner at The Carnivore restaurant for exotic meals(to be paid direct).
