Upon arrival at the airport (Kilimanjaro JRO or Arusha ARK), you will be met by a Safari Africa United’s representative, who will transfer you to your lodge in Arusha for your overnight stay, awaiting the start of your adventure the following day. If you arrive early, you may choose to take a city tour of Arusha.

Day 2

Arusha - Tarangire National Park

Arusha - Tarangire National Park

After an early breakfast at your accommodation in Arusha, your private driver-guide will pick you up for a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, a journey of approximately two hours.

Covering about 2,600 square kilometers, Tarangire is one of Tanzania’s largest and most diverse parks, renowned for its towering baobab trees and large elephant herds. The park is home to herds of over 300 elephants, along with buffalo, lions, and leopards.

During the dry season, Tarangire hosts the highest concentration of mammals in the country. You may also encounter wild dogs, rare antelopes such as the gerenuk, and over 550 bird species that thrive throughout the year.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your afternoon game drive. Later, you’ll proceed to Karatu, where you can relax and unwind at your lodge, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3

Karatu - Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will continue your journey toward the fertile highlands cultivated by the Iraqw people, passing fields of wheat and corn along the way. You will traverse the mist-shrouded rainforests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you may be lucky enough to spot baboons, leopards, or elephants amidst the dense vegetation.

As you travel through the area, enjoy breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro Crater before heading onward to Serengeti National Park, arriving by midday.

The Serengeti, Tanzania’s largest park, is famous for its diverse landscapes, including grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannah, and mountains. After an extensive game drive, you will proceed to your accommodation, where dinner and an overnight stay await.

Day 4

Serengeti National Park game drive

After breakfast, around 8:00 AM (or at your preferred time), you will embark on a full-day game drive across the endless plains of Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is home to the largest concentration of wildlife on the planet, including the iconic “Big Five” — lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard.

A hot lunch will be served inside the park at approximately 12:30 PM, accompanied by soft drinks and unlimited drinking water. You will spend the day searching for wildlife, exploring the park’s diverse landscapes and observing its incredible biodiversity.

In the late afternoon, around 5:00 PM, you will return to your camp or lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5

After an early breakfast at your accommodations, you will depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping at the crater viewpoint to admire the breathtaking panorama before descending into the caldera.

The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, covering approximately 265 square kilometers with walls rising up to 600 meters. It is home to around 30,000 mammals and offers some of the most spectacular scenery in East Africa. The crater is also one of the best places to spot the “Big Five” — elephant, rhinoceros, buffalo, lion, and occasionally leopard.

Bird enthusiasts will enjoy excellent birdwatching, with over 500 species recorded in the area. You will have packed picnic lunch boxes, which you will enjoy at a designated picnic site within the crater. After lunch, continue with an afternoon game drive, then ascend the crater walls and drive to your accommodations in Karatu for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Lake Manyara National Park - Arusha

After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions and reputation as a birder’s paradise. With over 500 bird species, even first-time visitors can expect to spot around 100 species in a single day.

Beyond the floodplain, the acacia woodlands provide habitat for Manyara’s iconic lions, tusked elephants, and other wildlife. During your game drive, you may encounter giraffes, zebras, hyenas, buffalo, hippos, elephants, and wildebeests.

A lunch will be served inside the park, followed by further exploration. In the late afternoon, you will return to Arusha, concluding this unforgettable safari experience.
