You'll enjoy your picnic lunch along the Mara River or the Masai Mara Savannah. Depending on the season, you might also get the chance to witness the spectacular Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests and zebras traverse the plains in search of fresh grazing pastures, typically occurring from July to October.

Later, embark on your journey to Lake Nakuru National Park. You'll arrive in time for check-in, have lunch, and then have some rest. Enjoy a delicious breakfast, followed by check-out and transfer to Aberdare National Park. The drive is scenic via the central Kenya highlands with stops to view tea and coffee plantations.
You will have lunch at the Aberdare Country Club and set off for The Ark in the forest on the Aberdare mountain slopes at 2,134 meters (7,000 feet). This outstanding lodge offers high-altitude game viewing, including animals rarely encountered elsewhere, such as the giant forest hog, bush pig, tree hyrax, large-spotted genet, and the elusive bongo. Wildlife can be observed from different levels at The Ark—from outside, where you can see, hear, and smell everything, and inside, where you can sit with a cup of tea and stay warm and cozy. You can request to be awakened at night if your favorite animals appear. A herd of elephants might be just feet away, and if you are lucky, a leopard or a significant male lion might appear.
