Day 1

Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve

Depart from Nairobi at 0700 hrs and drive north of Nairobi covering a distance of approximately 310 km. This shall be a scenic journey through the tea, Coffee & sisal plantations. There will be an en route stopover to view Mount Kenya with its Snow-capped peaks.

Your drive shall proceed and pass the equator crossing to the semi-arid county of Samburu. Embark on your first game drive en route to Ashnil Samburu Camp for check-in and Lunch. Another game drive is scheduled in the afternoon till evening. You will return to the camp later after African sunset for dinner and Overnight stay.

Explore Samburu National Reserve

Enjoy your breakfast followed by a full-day of unlimited wildlife viewing. Possible sightings include the Special Five of Samburu; the Reticulated giraffe, the Grevy zebra, the Beisa oryx, the Somali ostrich andthe gerenuk, all rare species that occur only in this part of the country, and look for its well known larger game including elephants, lions and leopards. Enjoy a picnic lunch before heading back to the camp to relax for the afternoon/evening. Your game drives will be along the Ewaso Nyiro river where most of the wild animals are found.

Dinner and Ovenight stay at the Ashnil Samburu Camp.

Day 3

Enjoy an early morning game drive and return to the camp for breakfast and then we depart by road to Aberdare National park. You'll arrive in time, check-in and have lunch. The Aberdare National parks are an isolated volcanic range that forms the eastern wall of the rift valley, running roughly 100km north south between Nairobi and Thomsons Falls. Soils are red and of volcanic origin, but rich in organic matter. The topography is diverse with deep ravines that cut through the forested eastern and western slopes and there are many clear streams andwaterfalls. The unusual vegetation, rugged terrain, streams and waterfalls combine to create an area of great scenic beauty in the National Park. The park is surrounded by a predominantly indigenous forest. Spend the rest of the afternoon watching wild life at the Water hole.

Day 4

Enjoy your breakfast and check out to start your drive to the famous Lake Nakuru National Park. You'll drive through the Great Rift Valley stopping Thomson Falls, part of the Ewaso Nyiro River, these cascading falls tumble to the thick forest below. You'll make a stop at the equator and later proceed with drive to Lake Nakuru. You'll arrive at the Lake Nakuru Sopa around 1:00pm, check-in and enjoy your lunch. Proceed for an exciting afternoon game drive until 6.30 in the evening. The Park is a home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater Flamingos, which literally turn the lakeshores in to a magnificent pink stretch. The bird life here is world renown and over 400 bird’s species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the White and Black Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe.

Have an early morning breakfast. After breakfast, leave Lake Nakuru for Masai Mara, a 5-hour drive. You will pass through Narok town, a famous Masai town as you proceed to Masai Mara. You will arrive in time for check-in and have lunch. In the afternoon, embark for a game drive at the Masai Mara. The Masai Mara National Reserve features a stunning Kaleidoscope of wild and rugged landscapes, warm and welcoming people, and an exciting array of big or small creatures. The Reserve is famous for hosting the epic Great Wildebeest Migration. The Reserve welcomes over 1.5 million wildebeests onto its sprawling savannahs each July through October.

Later return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay after an African Sunset.

Full Immersion into the Masai Mara

Full Immersion into the Masai Mara

After breakfast, you will head out to a full-day game drive returning in the evening. Your driver/guide will ensure a picnic lunch is packed for you when you leave in the morning. They will be sure to get you a scenic spot to have your meal against the backdrop of the serene African savannah. Masai Mara reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five, small five, and ugly five.

Later, you will return to Maisha Mara Camp in the evening after African Sunset.

After a relaxed breakfast and check-out, the guide will take you to Maasai village, where you will interact with the local people and buy souvenirs. You will then enjoy the road trip to Nairobi with lunch at Narok town. You should be in Nairobi at around 4:00 p.m. Drop off at your hotel or free onward transfer to the airport for your flight home.
