Day 1

Arrive Visit Materuni Waterfall

On your arrival at the airport, meet your safari driver guide who will pick you up after the introduction and drive to Moshi village in Kilimanjaro province. Visit the Materuni waterfall; it will be an up-and-down trek to reach the waterfall, hikking boat is recommended. After visit the waterfall, you will have a chance of having a coffee tour in this village, thereafter drive to Arusha town for overnight.

Day 2

Drive to Tarangire

Drive to Tarangire

Depart from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park. It will take you approximately 2 hours to reach the park entry gate. Tarangire is well known as the home of elephants. The safari will start from the main gate with impalas, giraffes, zebras, etc. Your guide will lead you to the Tarangire River, where an abundance of elephants is commonly seen. Proceed with the game drive until you stop for lunch at the picnic site at the top of the river. In the late afternoon, drive to Karatu for an overnight stay.

Day 3

Ngorongoro crater/drive to Serengeti

Ngorongoro crater/drive to Serengeti

Have an early breakfast and drive to the Ngorongoro Crater. After checking in at the gate, descend 600m to the crater floor. The Ngorongoro Crater is a self-dependent ecosystem and home to carnivores, antelopes, and herbivores. If lucky, you may see the Big 5 in Ngorongoro, which includes lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and buffalo. At Magadi Lake, several waterbirds are found, which include beautiful flamingoes, herons, pelicans, etc. Picnic lunch will be inside the crater floor, after lunch, ascend and drive to Serengeti with a game drive on route.

Day 4

Serengeti/Ngorongoro/Karatu

Serengeti/Ngorongoro/Karatu

Today you will have an almost full-day game drive in Central Serengeti for about 6-7 hours, and breakfast will be early in the morning before going for the game drive searching for the rest Big 5 and big cats, and other animals. Serengeti National Park is a vast park of almost 15,000 sq km. Today's game drive allows you to have different animal viewings and watch their habits. After a successful game drive, and after picnic lunch, continue with an en-route game drive, and driving back to Karatu for an overnight.

After breakfast, drive to Mto wa Mbu village where you will have a cultural tour. The tour includes a biking activity, walking to a banana farm, and visiting the people in the area to experience their lifestyle. You will be guided by a local guide. In the afternoon, you will have a local, well-cooked lunch prepared by a Mamaz cooker. Enjoy tasting the different types of food.

Thereafter, you will drive back to Arusha town and be transferred to the airport for your departure. This will be the end of your 5-day mid-range safari.
