A staff driver from Serengeti Landmark Tours will pick you up from Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro Airport and transfer you to your accommodation in Arusha city. The operations manager will brief you on the safari with information about the next day's adventure. If you have time, you can do the Arusha town tour.

Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After pick-up from your Arusha hotel at 8:00 am, go on the 3-hour drive to Tarangire National Park where you will have a full-day game drive. Later, you will drive to Jambo Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Tarangire National Park is located 115km from Arusha and covers an area of 2,800sq km. Wild animals drink water from the Tarangire River. The park has major attractions including a large number of elephants, tree-climbing pythons, and baobab trees. You will also see lions, leopards, and other animals.

Day 3

Tarangire National Park to Serengeti National Park

Tarangire National Park to Serengeti National Park

After a full breakfast, pack your luggage in the safari Jeep and start an en-route game drive to Serengeti with your packed lunch. On the way, you will be able to view the beautiful Rift Valley and have a view of the Ngorongoro Crater. You will arrive in Serengeti at around 3:00 pm. You will have an evening game drive in Central Serengeti and will see the sunset. Later, head to the Seronera Campsite inside the park for dinner and your overnight night.

The major attractions in Serengeti are the endless plains and the great Serengeti wildebeest migration which involves 1.5 million herbivores and predators. They move from one area to another in almost all parts of the Serengeti because of drought. Our driver-guide will make sure that you will see a part of the wildebeest migration. Experience the movement of vast numbers of the Serengeti’s wildebeest, accompanied by large numbers of zebras, and smaller numbers of Grant’s gazelles, Thomson’s gazelles, elands, and impalas.

Day 4

Serengeti National Park Game Drive

Serengeti National Park Game Drive

You will wake up early in the morning and have a full breakfast before you start your full-day game drive inside Serengeti. Our driver will take you to the key areas in Serengeti. We will make sure that you follow the wildebeest migration during your tour with us.

The great migration varies every year. The best chance of seeing it is from June to September while the wildebeest calving is from January to March. From July to September, our driver will take you to Northern Serengeti where you'll be able to see the great wildebeest migration crossing the Mara River. A million and a half of these majestic animals travel throughout the year as they look for fresh grazing pasture and follow the rainfall for better water sources. After your full-day game drive, you will head back to your accommodation for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 5

You will wake up at 5:45 am for an early breakfast and see the sunrise inside Serengeti. You will do the early morning game drive until 11:30 am. Head back to the campsite for a hot lunch, pack your belongings in the Jeep and proceed with a game drive in Serengeti while heading to the Ngorongoro Highlands.

Day 6

Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive, Back to Manyara

You will wake up at around 5:30 am for breakfast whereafter, you will descend to the Ngorongoro Crater floor. You will be able to see all of the Big Five (including the black rhino), as well as many species of birds. Enjoy your lunch inside the crater while watching nature and the high concentrations of flamingos.

After the 6 to 7-hour game drive, you will ascend the crater and pass through the campsite to pack your luggage into the Jeep for the drive back to Manyara for your dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will head to Lake Manyara for a full-day game drive inside the park. You will be able to see tree-climbing lions as well as the many flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake. You will also visit a hot spring. You will then proceed to a Maasai boma where you will see how they live and learn about their culture and traditions. Later, drive back to Arusha for dinner and your overnight stay.
