Transfer from Kigali International Airport to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today you will be met by a representative of Big Apes Africa and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda in preparation for gorilla trekking the next day. Should you arrive in plenty of time, you may do a short city tour that includes majorly the market and Genocide Museum visits.

Gorilla Tracking & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early breakfast, you will drive to the briefing point in the forest of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to get to be enlightened about your adventure with the mountain gorillas. You are advised to carry enough drinking water and a lunch box. At a cost of 20 US dollars, you can get a potter to carry your bag and give you a hand in slippery or steep parts of the forest. After the briefing, you are distributed into groups of eight and led by a park ranger into the forest where you will spend one hour with the gentle giants. Rain gear is important considering that Bwindi is a tropical rainforest. You will be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi where you will swim in Uganda’s most beautiful lake or take a canoe to enjoy nature and explore the surrounding communities.

Transfer to Kigali Airport

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport, depending on your flight time. You could do a city tour and visit the Genocide Memorial Site only if you were not able to this on the first day. Please arrange with your guide so that everything is done according to the available time. It is good to plan for a four hour journey to Kigali from here without any activity.
