3-Day Central Kalahari Wilderness Camping Safari

Welcome to Central Kalahari Game Reserve

Depart Maun at approximately 07:00 for the Central Kalahari Game Reserve and continue toward the Deception Valley camping area. Travel time varies with road and entry conditions. After arrival, enjoy lunch and a rest before an afternoon game drive across the valley and nearby pans. The guide will interpret the desert landscape and wildlife encountered naturally; no sighting is guaranteed. Return to the fully serviced camp for dinner.

Your tent has its own private bush toilet and attached private bucket shower.

Sunday Pan and Passarge Valley

After early coffee, tea and rusks, depart at about 06:30 for a game drive toward Sunday Pan and its waterhole area. Continue through the Passage Valley, stopping for the planned brunch in a suitable location. The route offers time to appreciate the Kalahari’s open plains, thornveld and birdlife before returning via the Leopard Pan area for lunch and a midday rest.

Later, take an afternoon game drive toward Deception Pan and pause for sunset where conditions permit, then return to camp for dinner.

Final Leg - Say Goodbye to the Kalahari

Rise early for a final game drive in the Deception Valley area, looking for tracks, birds and wildlife active in the cooler hours without promising particular species. Return to camp for breakfast and time to prepare for departure. The camp team will manage the camp breakdown while the safari continues toward Maun, with game viewing possible along the reserve route. Arrival in Maun is expected during the afternoon but depends on road, wildlife and park conditions.
