On this day, you will be welcomed by our representative tour guide/driver who will brief you about the all trips and drives. You'll be taken to your preferred hotel, where you will have welcoming and friendly people, have an African dinner, and an overnight stay at the airport guest house.

Day 2

Transfer to Jinja

Transfer to Jinja

You will be picked up in Kampala or Entebbe at your favorite hotel and travel to Jinja, the second largest town in Uganda after Kampala. Jinja is situated on the Northern shore of Lake Victoria just above the impressive Ripon Falls. It is here that you will find the source of the Nile River, the Bujagali Falls. You will enjoy your Nile water rafting. Afterward, you will grab a quick lunch and then take off and drive to Mbale. Upon arrival, you will check in at Casa Lodges for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3

Transfer to Sipi Falls

Transfer to Sipi Falls

After an early African breakfast, you will drive to Sipi Falls where the drive takes about 1 and a half hours to reach. You will take off on an early morning hike to Sipi Falls where there are 3 main waterfalls you will visit. This hike is well worth the effort as it will provide a great vista of beautiful scenery. After the hike, you will come back to the hotel for lunch and then visit the local coffee farms and households. You will learn about the entire process of how coffee moves from the farm to the cup. You will have the chance to take part in several scheduled charity activities and then return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 4

Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park

Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park

After breakfast, you will check out and head north to the world-renowned Kidepo Valley National Park. There will be a brief stopover to enjoy the scenery along the winding road. You will stop for a hot lunch and then continue on to Kidepo Valley National Park. You will be passing through Soroti Town and Kaabong. Bordered on both sides by mountains, Kidepo Valley National Park offers an abundance of wildlife, especially big cats, buffalo, ostriches, zebras, and a variety of birds. You will check in at the UWA Bands and then go on an evening game drive before returning to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Game Drive and Cultural Activities

Game Drive and Cultural Activities

You will rise very early for a sunrise game drive where you will catch the wildlife when most active. You will return to the lodge for breakfast and then embark on a long game drive where you will spot tree-climbing lions, cheetahs, ostriches, zebras, giraffes, elephants, and buffalos. You will also have the chance to take a short hike that will give you a magnificent view of the flat unending landscape. Birding is also another activity available since the park has hundreds of bird species. After your hike, you will return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will visit the local tribes of the Dodoth and Karamojong; nomadic pastoralists who are almost unaffected by civilization and who live in their traditional lifestyles. You will experience their lifestyle firsthand and also watch some traditional dancing. Later in the evening, you will return to the lodge for dinner and then settle in for the night.

You will start with an early breakfast and then go for a game drive along the trails of Kidepo Valley. The park inhabits one of the most exciting faunas of any Ugandan park, with over 80 species of mammals several of which are endemic to Kidepo National Park like the cheetahs, the striped hyenas, the caracals, and over 465 bird species including the ostriches. In the afternoon, you will embark on a game drive while heading to hot springs where you will be able to see natural boiled water.

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After an early breakfast, you will check out and hit the road for the most beautiful protected area in Uganda, Murchison Falls National Park. You will make a stopover in Gulu Town for lunch and then continue on to the park; entering through the Tangi gate. You will visit the magnificent falls where you will enjoy and marvel at the mighty Nile River being forced through a seven-meter crevice; thundering 45 meters below in a series of cascades that can be viewed from different viewpoints. Later in the evening, you will check in.

Game Drive and Boat Cruise in Murchison Falls National Park

After an early morning breakfast, you will drive down to the ferry and cross the Nile to the northern sector of the park and start your game drive towards the Delta area, in search of wildlife that includes; the Rothschild giraffes, elephants, Jackson’s hartbeests, lions, warthogs, kobs, jackals, oribis, waterbucks, patus monkeys and leopards among others. Here also a variety of savannah woodland birds can be seen. You will go back to the lodge, relax, and have lunch. Later in the afternoon, at 2:00 p.m., you will go for the boat cruise on the Nile, for game viewing at close quarters as they come to cool off on the shores of the mighty Nile. Here, you will get a chance to see many schools of hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, and a variety of water birds. You will go back to the lodge after about 3 hours, for dinner and overnight stay.

Kibale National Park

You will start your drive to western Uganda through the beautiful green scenery and the tea plantations. You will have a chance to interact with local people during the walk through the market after lunch. After lunch, you will have a one-hour drive to Kibale forest where you will be able to spot some monkeys, birds, and baboons on your way and during the stop-over.

Day 10

Chimpanzee Trekking

Chimpanzee Trekking

Today, you will have your breakfast at the lodge and prepare for your trip for the chimpanzee walk. Kibale National Park consists of around 13 primate species. While at the park, you will be able to see many types of monkeys like; the wonderful Red Columbus, grey-cheeked mangabey, black and white Columbus monkey, L’hoest monkey, and the amazing chimpanzees. Here you will experience our cousins today for one hour and the trip takes a 3-4 hour walk through the tropical rain forest with the experienced guide. After lunch, you will visit the Bigodi swamp for a walk to spot some monkeys and bird species, and that takes you through grassland, small communities where the locals are very enthusiastic to shake hands with white people through coffee plantations and people gardens to see how they do daily work.

After breakfast, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, driving through the crater lakes region of Kabarole, and do a mini-game drive as you enter the park and check into the lodge. You will have lunch and relax around. Later at 3:00 p.m., you will go for the boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel to view the wildlife from close quarters as they cool off along the shores of the Channel that connects Lakes George and Edward. You will come back to the lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

The day begins early as you go for your morning game drive, heading for Kasenyi plains, towards the Kobs mating grounds, in search of wildlife that may include the bushbuck, waterbuck, elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, and other wildlife in their natural habitat. The game drives normally take 3 -4 hours before returning for breakfast. In the afternoon, you will take on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural link between Lake Edward and Lake George. The Channel accommodates abundant wildlife, hundreds of birds that are sighted fishing in the channel, and hundreds of hippos that are cooling off at the shores, this cruise will definitely be one of the highlights of your safari.

Day 13

The day begins early as you start the game drive at 6:30 a.m. in the Kasenyi plains in search of wildlife which includes buffalos, kobs, warthogs, elephants, waterbucks, lions, hyenas, and on lucky days leopards among others. After the game drive which takes about 2 – 3 hours, you will go back to the lodge for breakfast, check out, and drive to Bwindi through the Ishasha sector where tree-climbing lions can be seen according to the luck of the day. You will hhave lunch en-route (packed) and later check-in.

After breakfast, at about 7:45 a.m., you will walk down to the visitors’ center for registration and briefing before starting the gorilla trekking. The exercise may be strenuous walking up steep hills sometimes under muddy conditions. This activity may take about 2 – 8 hours, experiencing the gorilla world, and for conservation purposes when you get them, you spend one hour with them and the guide will advise you on how to behave while with these great apes. You will later come back to the lodge check out and drive to Lake Bunyonyi for dinner and an overnight stay.

Lake Bunyonyi and Boat Trip

After breakfast, you will enjoy a great view of Lake Bunyonyi at the hotel a beautiful place surrounded by the hills of Western Uganda with a landscape called the “Switzerland of Africa”. Lake Bunyonyi is famous for birds, otters, and delicious crayfish. You will spend the rest of the day here, have a swim if you want, try a canoe, or simply relax looking at the over 300 bird species you can sometimes see from the veranda (bring your binoculars).

After breakfast, you will check out and drive to Lake Mburo National Park, passing through the rolling hills of Kabale and Mbarara, with lunch en route. You will be arriving in the afternoon and checking into the service of Eagles’ Nest. In the afternoon, at 4:00 p.m., you will go for the boat cruise on the lake, which can take about one and a half hours. You will later come back to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

The day begins early as you go for the morning nature walk in search of wildlife that includes buffaloes, zebras, warthogs, impalas, elands (Africa’s biggest antelope), topis, bushbucks, reedbucks, waterbucks, oribis, bush pigs and leopards among others. This normally takes about two hours depending on how much interest you have in what you see. This is one of the best walks we have in Uganda. You will later come back to the lodge for breakfast relax as you wait for lunch then later get back to the park for an evening game drive.
