Transfer to Akagera National Park

Your safari adventure begins as our professional driver-guide picks you up from your hotel in Kigali or upon arrival at Kigali International Airport. After a short briefing, enjoy a scenic 2.5-hour drive to the eastern part of Rwanda, passing through rolling hills and vibrant local villages. Upon arrival at Akagera National Park, complete registration and briefing at the park headquarters before checking in at Ruzizi Tented Lodge for a delicious lunch.

In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive through Akagera’s stunning landscapes of savannahs, woodlands, and lakes. Spot elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, impalas, warthogs, baboons, and many other wildlife species in their natural habitat. Later, as dusk falls, experience an exciting night game drive, a chance to encounter nocturnal animals and enjoy the magic of the African wilderness under the stars. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Ruzizi Tented Lodge.

Rise early for an exhilarating full-day safari in Akagera National Park, led by an expert guide.
