Upon your arrival at Nairobi International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your driver-guide and our representative. After introductions and assistance with your luggage, you’ll be transferred to your accommodation at Hotel Boulevard, a traditional and comfortable hotel known for its excellent service and central location.

After breakfast, depart Masai Mara for a scenic drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, located in the heart of the Great Rift Valley. The drive will take approximately 6 hours, offering beautiful views along the way. Upon arrival, check in at Sarova Woodlands in time for a delicious lunch and a chance to relax before your afternoon game drive.

Lake Nakuru is famous for its spectacular birdlife, including the iconic pink flamingos that line its shores, as well as over 400 other bird species. The park is also home to a variety of wildlife, such as the rare Rothschild's giraffe, black and white rhinos, lions, leopards, buffalos, and numerous plains game. After breakfast, the tour departs. Our first stop is Arusha Town for any last-minute purchases before we head off on safari. Afterwards, we head towards the Tarangire National Park for a game drive with a picnic lunch in the park. Tarangire is well known for its huge elephant population and baobab trees. It forms the center of an annual migratory cycle that includes up to 3000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest, and 30,000 zebras.

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park via the beautiful high-lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We leave the highlands behind and descend into the heart of wild Africa, the Serengeti National Park, with its endless plains stretching as far as the eye can see. Then we go to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife that is well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight at the Nyani Campsite.

This will be a half-day game drive in Serengeti National Park and a drive for dinner and overnight in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, ready for crater exploration the next day. Dinner and overnight will be at the Simba Campsite.

Day 11

Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, you will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthogs, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw to this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos, and other water birds can usually be seen here. Late afternoon transfer to Karatu.

Overnight: Heaven Nature Lodge, set near the shores of Lake Masek and surrounded by beautiful landscapes and rich wildlife.

After breakfast, you will check out and depart with a packed lunch for an exciting game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. The lake takes up a large portion of the park, and the forest begins just after crossing the park gate, along the base of the Great Rift Valley, with the hot spring to the west. The famous tree-climbing lion, buffalo, giraffe, hippo, and baboon troops can all be found in the park. You will also see the magnificent pink flamingo, ostrich, Egyptian geese, and other animals. After your picnic lunch, you will go on an afternoon game drive and then to a Maasai village to learn about the Maasai people’s various activities and cultures. You will arrive to Arusha in the evening.
