Johannesburg to the Lowveld
Departing from Johannesburg at 8:30 am, our journey leads us on some of the most scenic roads down to the Lowveld region of South Africa, known as Mpumalanga.
On route, we will be stopping for lunch in Schoemanskloof, one of seven spectacular destinations along the Highlands meander of Mpumalanga. After our lunch stop, we will continue our journey to Hazyview.
We'll spend the next two nights at a lodge, which is situated just outside the Kruger National Park, allowing us the opportunity to easily access the park to see animals and already start experiencing the beauty and wildlife of this country.

Kruger National Park
Today, we will get up early as we want to enter the Southern section of the Kruger National Park as soon as we can, for our full day of game viewing.
The Southern section of the park offers the opportunity to see some different species of animals like rhinos, wild dogs, herds of buffalo and elephants. There are also other predators like lions and hyenas, because the South usually has a bit more water, naturally attracting more animals.
Our day is dedicated to driving around in search of these animals; however, we will stop regularly at some of the parks’ rest camps for some leg stretches and comfort breaks as well as some waterholes en route.
Late in the afternoon, we will exit the park and head back to our accommodation for the night.

We then depart at leisure to a nearby wild animal rehabilitation centre where we get to learn more about endangered wildlife species – some of which we might have seen already in the Kruger.
After a very educational experience we slowly make our way to Hoedspruit town for lunch after which we will stop for a quick shopping stop.
We then slowly make our way to a private game reserve in the Greater Kruger region where we will partake in an afternoon safari. Here we will enjoy a relaxing afternoon/evening safari and sip on a sundowner as the sun says goodbye for the day.
