4-Day Serengeti Migration River Crossing from Zanzibar

Zanzibar Island - Serengeti National Park

At 05h00, we pick you up from your hotel in Zanzibar and transfer you to Zanzibar International Airport for a direct scheduled flight to Serengeti National Park departing at 07h45. Arrive at the Seronera Airstrip in Serengeti at 10h00, meet our driver and proceed with a game drive on the way to the camp for lunch. After lunch at the camp, proceed on an afternoon game drive in the park.

Serengeti National Park is renowned for its large lion population and is one of the best places to view the prides in their natural environment. About 70 large mammals and 500 bird species are found in the park, which boasts diverse habitats including riverine forests, swamps, kopjes, grasslands, and woodlands. Return for dinner and overnight at the camp.

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast at the lodge, collect your lunch box and depart for a full-day game drive in Serengeti.

Serengeti is a very large national park, and as wildlife viewing depends on the movement of the migrants, the tour guide knows very well how to find the herds. The Serengeti National Park is famous for its “great migration” as more than 1 million wildebeest and 200,000 zebra follow the rains each year. It is an exciting and spectacular park that will not fail to impress. Later in the evening, drive back to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Northern Serengeti National Park

After breakfast at the camp we then depart for the crossing at Mara River.
This dramatic event sees thousands of animals rushing across the river, risking their lives to reach the Maasai Mara in Kenya. The crossing is perilous as crocodiles lurk in the waters, waiting to prey on weaker animals. The river crossing is symbolic of the herd’s tenacity and the cycle of life and death that defines the migration.
Lunch will be taken in one of the picnic sites inside the park. And later on the evening will drive back to the camp for meals and Overnight.

Northern Serengeti - Zanzibar Island

After breakfast at 08h00, we pick you up from the camp and transfer you to the Seronera Airstrip for the flight back to Zanzibar Island at 11h00. You will arrive at Zanzibar Airport at 12h30 and meet our driver who will transfer you to your hotel in Zanzibar or assist in connecting you with your international flight.
