Johannesburg to Kruger National Park

The shuttle buses depart daily from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg at 6:45am.

It is a 5-6 hour drive from Johannesburg to Hoyo Hoyo Safari Lodge in the Kruger National Park. We take the scenic route through the historic towns of the Panorama Route and to the town of Hoedspruit, with scheduled stops for bathroom breaks and leg stretches.

Arrive mid-day in the Mluwati Concession and into Hoyo Hoyo Safari Lodge. Enjoy a light meal and freshen up before departing late afternoon for a game drive on an open safari vehicle. Enjoy sundowners at a special vantage point.

Dinner is a 3-course meal under the stars at the outdoor boma at Hoyo Hoyo Safari Camp (weather dependent).

Sundowner drinks and a 3-course dinner with local wines, beers, and soft drinks are included.

Enjoy tea and coffee before you depart for the sunrise game drive in an open safari vehicle and a light, informal brunch at the lodge. Enjoy an afternoon relaxing before leaving for the evening game drive. Sundowners will be served at a special vantage point and a delicious 3-course dinner under the stars in the outdoor boma of Hoyo Hoyo Safari Lodge.

Kruger National Park to Johannesburg

Wake up early for hot beverages and breakfast pastries, and then join your game ranger for your last game drive in the Mluwati Concession. Enjoy a late breakfast on your return before checking out. We depart late in the morning for the return journey to Johannesburg. Arrive at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg late afternoon at approximately 5:00pm.
