6-Day Safari to Greater Kruger and Kruger National Park

Transfer and Panorama Route Highlights

Your safari adventure begins at OR Tambo International Airport when you board your shared shuttle transfer to Hoedspruit at 7:45am—later departures are available for a modified itinerary. You will arrive at the Drakensberg mountain range around 1:30pm where you will meet your Khalanga Safaris guide. Enjoy some of the scenic sights of the famous Panorama Route, such as The Three Rondavels and Bourke's Luck Potholes, and marvel at the views of one of the greenest canyons in the world. Later that day, we arrive at Tshukudu Bush Camp in Tshukudu Private Game Reserve, part of Greater Kruger National Park, where you will spend the night in a comfortable cottage. Dinner will be prepared for you by your guide.

Tshukudu Private Game Reserve Safari

You will spend the whole day in Tshukudu Private Game Reserve, enjoying a bush walk and afternoon safari (activities shared with other guests of Tshukudu Bush Camp). Your Tshukudu Safaris guide has a wealth of experience of the area, and you can expect to see many of the Big Five as well as other lesser-known species. Your guide will prepare meals, including breakfast, a light lunch, and dinner. In between activities you can explore the camp and rest by the pool.

Olifants River Safari and Kruger National Park

We start our day early and make our way to Phalaborwa. One of the day's highlights is a morning boat cruise on the Olifants River, with a chance to see many animal species (including crocodiles and hippos) in their riverine habitat. In addition, you might be lucky to see elephants, different species of antelopes, water birds, and perhaps even other members of the Big Five as you enjoy the serene morning and fresh air by the river. Later we will continue to the gated entrance of Kruger National Park, and you will embark on your first afternoon safari with your Khalanga Safaris guide. Your guide is highly experienced in locating animal sightings, understands all the signs of animals and nature, and is keen to share his vast knowledge. In the evening, you will join a sunset game drive (shared) conducted by Kruger National Park rangers. Breakfast is included, and lunch and dinner will be available at one of the rest camps, where we will be stopping for breaks.

Full-Day Game Drive in Kruger National Park

We will spend the whole day searching for fabulous and unforgettable animal sightings. Your guide will take you to waterholes, riverine forests, savannahs, and plains, and make sure you enjoy the safari in the African bush with all your senses. We use an open safari vehicle for all of our game drives. Breakfast and dinner are included today.

Full-Day Game Drives in Kruger National Park

We will spend another day filled with astonishing animal sightings and photo opportunities and gain a wealth of knowledge of nature and animals with the help of your guide's interpretation of animal behavior. Breakfast is included, and you will savor a dinner of your choice (own account) at one of Skukuza's restaurants overlooking the river.

Return to OR Tambo International Airport

After breakfast, we check out at the camp and drive to the nearest Kruger National Park gate. You will enjoy your last morning safari before we take you back to the location where the shuttle will depart from. Your shared shuttle will be back at OR Tambo International Airport around 5:30pm (different departures available).
