After enjoying breakfast in the morning, your safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Zanzibar City and go to the airport for a flight to Arusha. From there, you'll drive 120km to Lake Manyara National Park with a packed lunch for a game-viewing drive in the park.
Lake Manyara stretches for 50km along the base of the rusty-gold 600-meter high Rift Valley escarpment, and its scenic beauty has been praised by Ernest Hemingway as “the loveliest I had seen in Africa”. The park's compact game-viewing circuit offers a condensed version of the Tanzanian safari experience.

After breakfast, you will begin your descent into the Ngorongoro Crater for a 4x4 game viewing drive. The crater is a magnificent geological wonder that is home to over 20,000 large animals, including the remaining black rhinos in Tanzania. One of the unique features of the Ngorongoro Crater is that it allows over 40,000 Maasai pastoralists with their cattle, goats, and sheep to coexist with the abundant wildlife in a natural setting.
You will have a picnic lunch at the crater before ascending and driving back to Arusha. You will arrive late in the evening and be dropped off at the hotel of your choice. Meals for the day include breakfast and lunch.
