Flight to the Kruger National Park

Begin your journey in Johannesburg with a flight to Skukuza Airport (the time savings when compared to a return road transfer from and back to Johannesburg are in the region of 11 hours in total!). You will be met and transferred to Kruger Shalati Train on the Bridge. (Flights beginning/ending in Cape Town are available).

At Kruger Shalati, guests have convenient access to everything Kruger has to offer and a range of other major attractions in the area. Enjoy first-of-its-kind luxury accommodation in a re-envisioned train stationed on a bridge above the Sabie River in the Kruger National Park. All meals, a selection of soft drinks, house wines, local brand spirits, beers and two game drives daily are all included during your stay.

In the late afternoon, you will head out with your guide and tracker for an afternoon game drive through the reserve in search of wildlife including the Big Five. Arrive back at the lodge in time to freshen up before enjoying a sumptuous dinner.

Relaxation is important between game drives, facilities at Kruger Shalati Train on the Bridge include a unique overhanging pool with a viewing deck on the bridge offering guests the unique experience of taking a dip while watching crocodiles, hippos and elephants just meters below. Guests are invited to take advantage of in-room spa treatments (at additional expense), or a drink at the Round in 9 Bar which is part of the Kruger Station Precinct, adjacent to Kruger Shalati.

Morning Game Activity & Departure
