Kilimanjaro International Airport to Arusha City

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our driver guide will transfer you to Arusha City, which is located below Mount Meru on the eastern edge of the Great Rift Valley. Arusha has a moderate climate, making it a pleasant destination for tourists. The city is situated in close proximity to various national parks, such as Serengeti, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Mount Kilimanjaro, and Arusha National Park on Mount Meru. Moreover, Arusha City serves as a significant international diplomatic center. Prior to your Wildlife & Wilderness Safari, you will receive a briefing. Your overnight stay will be at Planet Lodge.

Planet Lodge to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, at 8:00 am, we will depart for Tarangire National Park, which is the third-largest national park in Tanzania and home to a significant elephant population. One unique aspect of the park is the majestic baobab trees that tower over the animals feeding beneath them. Wildlife tends to gather around the Tarangire River, which is the only permanent water source in the area. The park boasts a diverse range of animals, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and up to six thousand elephants. In the late afternoon, we will drive to the Sangaiwe Tented Lodge, located on the hills bordering Tarangire National Park, where we will enjoy dinner and spend the night.

Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti National Park

Following breakfast, we will drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where we will descend into the 100-square-mile Ngorongoro Crater to observe game on the vast grasslands of the crater floor. The bottom of the crater is home to watering holes and nearly 30,000 animals that inhabit the naturally enclosed area surrounded by the volcano's slopes. Among the many species, you can spot the Big Five, such as lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, leopards, and others. With walls rising 610 meters from the floor, the Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unbroken caldera globally and is regarded as one of the Wonders of the Natural World, providing a safe haven for wildlife. Due to the permanent availability of grass and water, spectacular animal life can be found in the crater throughout the year. After the game drive, we will have dinner and stay overnight at Serengeti Tortilis Camp.

Serengeti to Karatu

We will begin our day with an early morning game drive in the Serengeti to spot the cats before they retreat from the scorching sun during the day. After spending a few hours observing the wildlife in the Serengeti, we will proceed towards the Ngorongoro Highlands. On the way, you will have the option of visiting the Maasai community and learning about their traditional culture. In the late evening, we will arrive at Marera Valley Lodge, where we will enjoy dinner and spend the night.

Karatu to Zanzibar

Following breakfast at the lodge, we will drive to Mto wa Mbu for a cultural visit to the local women, where you can observe and learn about their daily activities, including farming and small women's financing groups. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy a local lunch with the women, giving you a chance to taste the authentic African cuisine. After lunch, we will return to Arusha Airport to board a flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, we will meet and transfer to your beach hotel, where you will spend the night at Fun Beach Resort.
