Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park

After breakfast, you will embark on your trip to Kidepo Valley National Park which is approximately 13 hours of driving. You will have stopovers for photo opportunities and stretching. On your way to Kidepo, you will be in a position to see the source of the Nile in Jinja and savannah grasslands and rocks. We will also stop at Sipi Falls for an hour. We will arrive at the lodge late in the evening for check-in and overnight.

Game Drive and Nature Walk

After breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive in the park. You will spot a variety of animals like cheetahs, lions, elephants, buffaloes, black-backed jackals, giraffes, warthogs, and common ostriches. Afterward, you will go back to the lodge for refreshments and lunch. In the evening you will go for a nature walk with the local Ik people where you will be given the opportunity to interact with them.

Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, you will embark on your journey to Kibale National Park which is approximately 6 to 7 hours. You will enjoy the surroundings as you visit the crater lakes, and you will also visit the Tooro King’s palace. Proceed to Kibale Forest, arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight will be at Kibale Forest Camp.

Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Swamp Walk

After breakfast, you will go for a briefing by the park ranger and set out for chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest. This tour can take 4 to 8 hours, depending on the movement of the chimpanzees. You will have a packed lunch and water to take with you.

You will get a lot of information from the guide about the forest and the different flora and fauna. You will be given an opportunity to interact with our closest cousins. Enjoy some memorable moments with the chimpanzees and then return to the lodge for lunch and refreshments. In the evening, you will go for a nature walk in Bigodi Swamp in search of birds and other animals.
