The pick-up will be from the hotel or the airport upon arrival. The assigned professional English-speaking tour driver guide will pick up/receive you. Then, you'll transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park —one of Uganda’s most frequented tourist destinations. The park features diverse ecosystems called home by a variety of wildlife species - ten primate species (including chimpanzees), more than 600 bird species, and classic big game. You will stop for lunch en route, then proceed into the beautiful Queen Elizabeth NP, arriving late afternoon (evening) and do little but just check into the accommodation and relax. #Note: If you have some time still available, you can proceed with a late afternoon-to-evening game drive.

Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Trip along the Kazinga Channel
You'll be up early and have your breakfast. You'll proceed for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains and be on the lookout for cape buffalos, herds of elephants, plus lions, leopards (though hard to spot), among others. You'll return to the accommodation for some rest time and lunch. After lunch, you will go for a 2-hour boat trip on the Kazinga Channel that connects Lakes George and Edward. During the trip, the sight of wildlife, including giant hippos, elephants, and crocodiles, among others, will fascinate you. You will also see many varieties of birds on the water's shores. From the boat trip (which ends about 4 pm), you can either go back to the lodge to relax, or you can go for another late afternoon-evening game drive/safari till about 6:30 or 7:00 pm.

Another Sunrise Game Drive – Kasenyi Plains and head to Ishasha, then connect to Bwindi
You'll be up early and proceed for one last game drive in the Kasenyi plains. You'll be on the lookout for Cape buffalos, herds of elephants, lions, leopards (though hard to spot), among others. You'll return to the lodge and check out. Then, you'll head to the Ishasha sector in search of tree-climbing lions. The chance of spotting these lions is about 70%, though sometimes they are hard to spot (most especially when they are down in the grassland looking for prey). Should you get to spot them, the sight is picturesque and memorable. From Ishasha, you'll continue to the accommodation at the edge of Bwindi National Park (Ruhija sector) —arriving in the evening (6 pm). #Optional (extra cost 50$): If interested, you can consider chimp tracking (Kyambura) in place of the sunrise game drive. Please, take note that a permit for chimp tracking needs to be secured before the actual date.

Thereafter, you will enter the Bwindi Forest for your adventure. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. Once you have located a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle but endangered giants is unforgettable.
