Zanzibar, to Arusha Airport, to Tarangire

Your adventure begins before sunrise. At 4:00 AM, your transfer guide picks you up from your hotel in Zanzibar and escorts you to the airport, handling your check-in every step of the way. A scenic one-hour flight whisks you over the Indian Ocean and onto the Tanzanian mainland, where your private expert safari guide and our office representative will be waiting at Arusha Airport to welcome you with a full safari briefing.

From there, you head straight into the wild, and your first game drive in Tarangire National Park awaits. Famous for its extraordinary elephant herds and ancient baobab-dotted landscapes, Tarangire is a spectacular introduction to the Tanzanian bush. As the sun sets, you make your way to Karatu town for a well-earned overnight rest.

Ngorongoro Crater tour, & Drive Back to Arusha

After an early breakfast, you descend into one of the natural wonders of the world, the Ngorongoro Crater. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to a remarkable density of wildlife, including all of the Big Five, roaming freely across the crater floor. Lunch is served right inside the crater, surrounded by nothing but wilderness. In the late afternoon, you ascend the crater rim and drive back to Arusha for your overnight stay.

Materuni Waterfalls Tour, and Scenic Flight back to Zanzibar

After breakfast, you'll drive to Materuni village, nestled on the fertile lower slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, arriving at approximately 10:00 AM. A guided one-hour hike through lush rainforest leads you to the magnificent Materuni Waterfalls, where you'll have time to swim and take in the surroundings.

You'll then return to the village for a delicious traditional lunch prepared by the local community. The afternoon continues with an engaging coffee tour, a fascinating insight into how Tanzania's world-class coffee is grown, harvested, and prepared, ending with a tasting straight from the source.

Following the experience, you'll transfer to Arusha Airport for your evening flight back to Zanzibar. Your transfer guide will meet you on arrival and drop you off at your hotel.
