Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your Uro Adventure safari guide will collect you from your accommodation and drive you to Tarangire National Park, approximately two and a half hours away on well-maintained tarmac roads. Named after the Tarangire River, the park is famous for its large elephant herds, especially during the dry season when wildlife gathers along the river.

You may also spot giraffes, bushbuck, hartebeest, and predators such as lions and leopards. Tarangire boasts exceptional birdlife and iconic ancient baobab trees, some over a thousand years old. After a picnic lunch and game drive, you will continue to your accommodation in Karatu.

On your third safari day, after early breakfast, we head towards the Central Serengeti National Park for a wildlife game drive.

The Serengeti National Park has all kinds of wildlife surprises in store for you over the next few days, spend the whole day with morning and afternoon game drives to explore the plains. The Serengeti, an unrivaled wonder in Tanzania, will be the stage for the natural animal drama that will undoubtedly unfold during your visit. Afternoon safari combines the known with the unknown, and you'll be amazed by the uncertainty of what and when you'll see. The ever-changing light, and an ever-changing cast of animals, ensure a new experience at every turn. Take some memorable photos, but don't forget to take a deep breath and enjoy the real-time, untouched beauty of nature.

After breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive to the iconic Ngorongoro Crater, taking in beautiful landscapes and wildlife along the way. Spend the afternoon exploring this natural wonder before continuing to your accommodation in Karatu.

Surrounded by towering volcanic walls, the crater is a remarkable wildlife sanctuary and a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Formed over two million years ago, it is the world’s largest intact caldera. Its diverse habitats—savannah, lakes, swamps, and woodlands—support an incredible variety of wildlife, including wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, more than 500 bird species, and the endangered black rhino.

Descending to the crater floor offers breathtaking views and an unforgettable safari experience in one of Africa’s most extraordinary ecosystems.

Lake Mnayara National Park

This morning, you will travel to Lake Manyara National Park, the final stop on your unforgettable safari. Located about 120 km west of Arusha, this compact yet diverse park is set against the dramatic Great Rift Escarpment and centered around its shallow soda lake, which expands and recedes with the seasons.

The lake attracts thousands of wading birds, including flamingos, and the park is home to over 500 bird species. In the lush evergreen forest, you may spot baboons, elephants, and the famous tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your game drive.
