Nairobi to Maasai Mara

At 8 am, you will be picked up from your hotel within the city centre/Westland area and commence the drive to the Maasai Mara via the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, where you will have a breathtaking view of the floor of the Rift Valley. Arrive in the camp in time for lunch and check-in. In the afternoon, at 4 pm, depart for a sunset game-viewing drive in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, where the chances of seeing the big cats are extremely high, ending at 6 pm.

Return to Rhino Tourist Camp for a sumptuous buffet dinner, ending with good time for resting.

Full Game Drive in Maasai Mara Reserve

Have breakfast at 6:30 am and at 7 am, leave for a full-day game viewing in the park. On this day, spend the full day exploring the Maasai Mara in search of the Big Five, hippos and Nile crocodiles. Thereafter, go for a picnic lunch in the park under a croton tree shade overlooking the vast landscape of the park.

It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place: the great migration. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savannah: lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas and vultures.

Depart Maasai Mara for Nairobi
