2 travelers on Start dateArusha City to Tarangire National Park
During this time of the year, thousands of animals migrate from the dry Maasai steppe to the Tarangire River for water. Covering an area of 2,600 sqkm, Tarangire is known for its large herds of elephants and buffalo. Other popular species to see here are lions, giraffes, impalas, wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles. It is also the only known reserve where the fringe-eared Oryx is seen. Olduvai Gorge: Located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the Olduvai Gorge is 180 km from Arusha. It was here that Dr. Louis Leakey discovered the remains of Homo habilis aka “Handyman” which was considered the first step up mankind’s ladder of human evolution. Many fossils of prehistoric elephants, giant horned sheep, and huge ostriches have also been discovered here.
We do a game drive in the park. Return to Mto wa mbu for camping.

Mto wa mbu to Serengeti National park
After breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park via Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, passing through the picturesque highland farmland of Karatu. We will leave the highlands behind and descend into the Serengeti National Park. It's the heart of untamed Africa, with its vast grasslands stretching as far as the eye can see. Then head to the Seronera section of the park, one of the park's finest animal areas, containing the Seronera River. It offers a vital water source to this area and hence attracts wildlife that is well representative of most of the Serengeti's species. Arrive in time for lunch and have a wildlife drive in the Serengeti National Park in the afternoon. Dinner and your overnight stay are at your Campsite.
