Day 1

Moshi to Lake Manyara National Park

Moshi to Lake Manyara National Park

After enjoying breakfast in the morning, your safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Moshi and start driving to Lake Manyara National Park.

Lake Manyara stretches for 50km along the base of the rusty-gold 600-meter high Rift Valley escarpment, and its scenic beauty has been praised by Ernest Hemingway as “the loveliest I had seen in Africa”. The park's compact game-viewing circuit offers a condensed version of the Tanzanian safari experience.

You will have lunch during the game drive with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and soft drinks provided. After a full day of exploring, dinner and overnight will be at the Marera Valley Lodge. The meal plan includes lunch and dinner.

Day 2

Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will begin your descent into the Ngorongoro Crater for a 4x4 game viewing drive. The crater is a magnificent geological wonder that is home to over 20,000 large animals, including the remaining black rhinos in Tanzania. One of the unique features of the Ngorongoro Crater is that it allows over 40,000 Maasai pastoralists with their cattle, goats, and sheep to coexist with the abundant wildlife in a natural setting.

You will have a picnic lunch at the crater before ascending and driving back to Moshi. You will arrive late evening and be dropped off at the airport or hotel of your choice.
