Day 1

Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, you'll be picked up from your hotel to start a beautiful journey across the Great Rift Valley for a full day game drive with a hot lunch in the afternoon.

Although small in dimension (205 sq miles), the park has breathtaking scenery and is famous for its lush acacia forest, giant figs and mahogany trees, and a growing population of baboons and blue monkeys. Permanent residents of this park include giraffes, elephants, impalas and a huge number of buffaloes. The lake is also home to many hippos. The landscapes of Lake Manyara are something that can not be described with words, and the game drives along the lake provide stunning photo opportunities. You have giraffes and buffaloes in the foreground and the lake in the background. Some extra tours are possible, including a bike tour or a boat excursion.

In the evening, you'll return to the camp for dinner.

You can change your accommodation, replace this park with Tarangire NP or add an extra day and visit both.

The Jewel of the Wild; Serengeti National Park

Early in the morning, set out from the lodge with a packed lunch for a full day of game drives to witness the Great Migration across the Southern Serengeti and Northern Ngorongoro, in the Ndutu area.

In Jan & Feb, it is where millions of wildebeests and zebras packed at Ndutu give birth to about 8,000 calves everyday for about 10-12 weeks. The over 700,000 newborn and weak calves now become a prime target for predators and therefore increases a chance of witnessing a hunting action. At Ndutu, you will also see all other animals as if you are at any other part of the Serengeti.

Pause midday for lunch in the bush, then continue exploring until sunset. Afterward, return to your accommodation in Ndutu for dinner and an overnight stay.

You'll wake up very early for a sunrise game drive on the Serengeti plains, that's also the predators' paradise. The sunrise game drive gives you the best chance to see lions, leopards, and other predators in action. You may also opt to catch the sunrise by balloon at an extra fee.

After the sunrise, you'll return to your lodge for breakfast, ready for your game drive in the Serengeti until afternoon, when you'll have a hot lunch. Continue exploring until sunset. Afterward, return to your accommodation in Ndutu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Full Day in the World's Eighth Wonder; Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will descend very early in the morning into the crater. When you get your first glimpse at this amazing caldera from the panoramic viewpoint, you will realize why it has gained such popularity as the Eighth Natural Wonder of the World.

The Ngorongoro Crater is home to a variety of species, including the Big Five. It’s the best place to spot the endangered black rhinoceros. From the comfort of your open-roof 4x4 Land Cruiser (safari vehicle), you will have a chance to photograph and observe some of the most recognizable faces.

After the chills and thrills of the day, you will have a picnic lunch by the famous hippo pool. Thereafter, you will head back to your accommodation in Arusha or to the airport for your departure.
