After breakfast, set off for a scenic transfer to Musanze, a lively town surrounded by the volcanic peaks of northern Rwanda. Upon arrival, you’ll tour the remarkable Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund. This modern conservation hub brings Dian Fossey’s pioneering legacy to life through interactive exhibits, engaging galleries, and a behind-the-scenes look at groundbreaking gorilla research and protection efforts. Stroll through the campus grounds, learn about the vital work being done to preserve endangered mountain gorillas, and gain a deeper appreciation of Rwanda’s commitment to wildlife conservation. After the tour, enjoy some time to relax in Musanze, soaking in the dramatic scenery of Volcanoes National Park in the backdrop.

Hike Bisoke

After an early breakfast, set out for an adventurous hike up Mount Bisoke, one of the dramatic volcanic peaks of Volcanoes National Park. Standing at 3,711 meters, Bisoke is famous for its stunning crater lake at the summit. The trail takes you through lush montane forests alive with birdlife, colorful flora, and the chance to spot golden monkeys or forest buffalo along the way.
Your expert guide will share insights about the park’s rich ecosystem as you ascend. The hike, moderately challenging, rewards you with breathtaking views of the Virunga Volcanoes and surrounding landscapes. At the top, marvel at the shimmering crater lake before descending back through the scenic trails. This experience combines adventure, nature, and unforgettable mountain panoramas.
