Transfer from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Batwa Cultural Experience

Your safari will begin early in the morning with pick-up from Kampala or Entebbe by our professional driver guide. You will then start your scenic journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park located in southwestern Uganda. The drive takes approximately 8 to 9 hours depending on road conditions and stopovers along the way.

During the journey, you will enjoy beautiful views of Uganda’s countryside, rolling hills, local villages, and terraced farmlands. There will be several stopovers including the Equator crossing for photography and lunch en route.

Upon arrival in Bwindi, depending on your arrival time, you will take part in the Batwa cultural experience. The Batwa people are the original forest dwellers of Bwindi, and this experience gives you an opportunity to learn about their traditional way of life, hunting skills, music, dance, and cultural heritage.

After the experience, you will proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Gorilla Trekking Experience and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Start with an early breakfast and head to the park headquarters for registration and a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers on safety and trekking rules. You will be assigned to a gorilla group of maximum 8 visitors. Grab your packed lunch, water, and walking stick, then enter the forest for a thrilling adventure.

The trek takes 2 to 6 hours depending on gorilla movements. Hike through the dense rainforest, spotting birds, monkeys, and unique plants. Once located, spend one magical hour observing the gorillas feed, groom, and interact in their natural habitat.

Afterward, return to the starting point to receive your trekking certificate. You will then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, the peaceful "Land of Birds." Upon arrival, check in and relax at your lodge while enjoying breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding green hills.

Relaxation at Lake Bunyonyi and Transfer Back to Kampala

On this day, you will wake up at leisure and enjoy a relaxed morning at the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi. There is no rush as you enjoy the peaceful environment, cool breeze, and birds singing around the lake.

After breakfast, you may take some time to admire the scenery, relax at the lodge, or take optional short activities around the lake depending on your departure time.

Later, you will begin your return journey to Kampala or Entebbe with lunch en route, arriving in the evening.
