Explore the remarkable Tarangire National Park

Our experienced safari guide from Kigelia Tours will pick you up from your lodge in Arusha to embark on a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, which takes approximately 2 hours. Tarangire is renowned for its iconic baobab trees, vast savannah, and seasonal swamps, with the Tarangire River serving as a lifeline for wildlife. Keep an eye out for elephant families, giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, buffaloes, zebras, and wildebeests, accompanied by their Panthera counterparts, lions and leopards. Enjoy the panoramic views and wildlife sightings from the open-roofed vehicle.
After a full day of exploration, we will proceed to our well-appointed lodge in Karatu. Indulge in a delightful dinner at the aesthetically pleasing restaurant and unwind in the spacious rooms for a restful overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Highlands

Get ready for an early start as we embark on an exciting journey to the lush highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa's magnificent wonders. Upon reaching the rim of the crater, we will descend down a steep track into the caldera, which plunges 600 meters deep. Along the way, we will traverse through diverse climatic zones, providing us with a unique opportunity to witness a wide variety of animals and birds. The caldera, formed by a collapsed volcano, is home to an impressive array of wildlife, including the iconic "Big Five" - lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, and leopards, as well as hippos, wildebeests, zebras, hyenas, and over 500 species of birds.

After an extensive game drive and a delightful picnic lunch within the crater, we will begin our return journey to Arusha, arriving in the early evening.
