Depart to Katavi

Meet at the airport or hotel and drive from kigoma at 07:00hr to katavi National Park. It takes 5 hrs drive to arrive at the park. We will have lunch and then after a visitor will be taken for evening/ night games drives and spend a night within the park at Katavi Tanapa Bandas for dinner and overnight.

Two game drives in Katavi National Park. Meals and overnight at Katavi National Park Bandas.

Katavi Plains National Park was establishing as a Reserve in 1951 and given National Park status in 1974 by the government. The Park is one of the upcoming tourist attractions in Tanzania as it is an unspoiled wild park with unique attractions. Because of its remote location it receives few visitors and it’s the best for those tourists who love peace. Katavi is excellent for bird-watchers as it has over 400 species. You are also likely to see leopards, elephants, giraffes, lions, zebras and buffalos.

Drive back to Kigoma

8:00 am– breakfast 8:30 with a packed lunch will drive back to kigoma. It takes more that 10hrs driving, your driver will drop you to your hotel or Airport.
