You will be picked up in the morning from the hotel and taken to the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. Besides being the biggest intact (unbroken) volcanic caldera on Earth, the Ngorongoro Crater is also a natural sanctuary for some of the densest populations of large mammals in Africa.

Day 2

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park

With vast open plains and abundant wildlife as far as the eye can see, the Serengeti is a safari maker's dreamland. Because the park is so vast, it is advisable to spend several days exploring it. Serengeti National Park stretches over 14,763 square kilometers and is the largest and perhaps the most popular of the Northern circuit's national parks.

Serengeti hosts the great wildebeest migration, when some 6 million hooves walk across the open plains. More than 200,000 zebras and 300,000 Thomson's gazelles accompany the wildebeest on their journey to fresh grass. Serengeti's Seronera area is located in the south-central region of the park and is known for many big cats; the lion, leopard, and cheetah are often spotted here. The other park inhabitants, like elephant, giraffe, hippo, crocodile, buffalo, and impala are also well-known.

The area is very popular because it is one of the most likely places to see a hunt. Later, drive to the camp for an overnight stay.
