Join us on an exhilarating 7-day Kilimanjaro climbing tour via the Lemosho route. Your journey begins at Londorossi Gate, where a driver and guide will pick you up from your hotel at 8 am. Prepare to be captivated as we ascend from 7,800ft to 9,500ft, trekking through a lush rainforest habitat over a 6 km distance. This 3 to 4-hour hike will immerse you in the enchanting realm of nature. Starting from Moshi, a scenic 4-hour drive leads us to Londorossi Gate, where we complete entry formalities. Then, we continue for an hour on the picturesque Lemosho trailhead. At the trailhead, a delightful lunch awaits, energizing us for the trek through pristine forests, guiding us to our first campsite. Day 2

On the second day of our journey, we embark from Mti Mkubwa Camp, venturing towards Shira Camp 1. This leg of the trek spans approximately 8km, demanding 5-6 hours for completion. As we ascend from 9,500ft to 11,500ft, the landscape transitions into moorland, a distinct habitat. Our path guides us beyond the forested terrain into a savannah adorned with towering grasses, heather, and volcanic rocks adorned in lichen beards. The expedition takes us through verdant undulating hills, meandering streams, culminating in our arrival at the awe-inspiring Shira Ridge. Descending gracefully, we finally settle at Shira 1 camp, reveling in the breathtaking vista of Kibo across the plateau.

On the third day of our journey, we embark on an exploration of the picturesque Shira plateau, immersing ourselves in its breathtaking beauty. We set forth with a leisurely stroll, gradually making our way towards the majestic glaciered peak of Kibo. Along the way, we traverse the plateau, encountering the serene Shira 2 camp nestled amidst moorland meadows, accompanied by a gentle stream. Our path then leads us to the lesser-known Moir Hut, a hidden gem nestled at the foot of Lent Hills. This secluded spot provides a rare chance for acclimatization, offering an array of invigorating walks amidst the Lent Hills' diverse terrain. Shira, standing tall as one of the world's highest plateaus, treats us to unparalleled vistas of the surrounding landscape. En route to the remarkable Lava Tower, famously referred to as the "Shark's Tooth," our course takes a southeastern shift. Once we conquer the tower's presence, a junction beckons, guiding us towards the Arrow Glacier, perched regally at an awe-inspiring altitude of 16,000 feet. A subsequent descent awaits us, leading to the welcoming embrace of Barranco Hut, nestled at the elevation of 13,000 feet. This serene haven offers respite, nourishment, and a comforting evening reprieve before surrendering to the enveloping night. Despite concluding the day at an equal altitude to our commencement, this pivotal stage serves as a crucial acclimatization process, diligently priming our bodies for the eminent summit endeavor.

Day 5

Prepare to conquer a steep ridge, traverse the awe-inspiring Barranco Wall, and discover the tranquil Karanga Valley campsite before embarking towards the Barafu Hut. Day six of your Kilimanjaro expedition will put your mental and physical endurance to the test. The journey begins before sunrise, climbing perilous scree towards Stella Point on the crater rim. This leg presents the ultimate challenge but offers a breathtaking sunrise, weather permitting.
After a short break you continue your ascent towards the summit, reaching the pinnacle of Mount Kilimanjaro and Africa. Swift hikers will witness the sunrise from this lofty peak.
The descent from the summit awaits, with a pause at Barafu for a midday rest before pushing forward to Mweka Hut campsite. Take caution with gaiters and trekking poles as you navigate the unpredictable gravel. Mweka Camp, nestled in the upper forest, often experiences mist or rain in the late afternoon. As you descend through the lush rainforest, expect wet and muddy conditions. Consider gaiters and trekking poles for assistance. Lower elevations permit shorts and t-shirts, but keep rain gear and warmer attire within reach. An hour's walk from the park gate leads to Mweka Village, where a vehicle awaits to transport you back to your Moshi hotel. Take time to rest, recover, and explore the area before embarking on your next adventure. Celebrations are in order once again for your incredible achievement.
