At 8 am, the driver and guide will pick you up from your hotel for your 9-day Lemosho route Kilimanjaro climbing tour. Your journey begins in Moshi, with a 4-hour drive to Londorossi Gate. After completing entry formalities, you'll drive for another hour to reach the Lemosho trailhead. Lunch awaits upon arrival, followed by the start of your trek.
The trail meanders through untouched rainforest, spanning 6 kilometers to Forest Camp, the initial campsite. This stretch offers a gentle terrain, taking around 3-4 hours to navigate. It's an opportunity to adapt to the altitude and familiarize yourself with the surroundings, spotting unique flora and fauna along the way.
Upon reaching Mti mkubwa Camp, take ample time to rest before dinner. Prioritize relaxation and hydration to acclimatize effectively, preventing altitude sickness. Embrace the serene atmosphere, ensuring a restful night's sleep for the upcoming day's trek.

On the second day of your adventure, bid farewell to the forest and venture into a savannah teeming with tall grasses, heather, and volcanic rock adorned with lichen. At long last, you shall arrive at Shira Ridge, a lofty pinnacle offering a grandiose spectacle of the majestic Kibo peak. Absorb the breathtaking scenery before descending gracefully towards your next haven, Shira Camp 1, nestled at an elevation of 11,500 feet. This leg of the journey, spanning 8 kilometers, shall occupy around 5-6 hours.

This leg of the hike typically spans around 4-5 hours, during which we traverse an enchanting Alpine Desert. It serves as a day dedicated to acclimatization, characterized by its shorter duration. Our path encompasses a challenging traverse across a steep ridge, including the renowned Barranco Wall.

Day 6

Following an hour-long hike, trekkers arrive at Mweka Village, where a vehicle eagerly awaits to whisk them away to their cozy accommodations in Moshi. While the attire of shorts and t-shirts suffices for this part of the expedition, it is prudent to keep rain gear and warmer clothing within reach, adapting to the ever-changing weather conditions.
