Day 1

City to Wild

City to Wild

At 7 am, you will meet and greet our professional safari guide in Dar es Salaam and start your 6-hour drive southwest along the Morogoro road. After 3 hours, you will stop at Morogoro town for lunch and then proceed to the park for check-in. You will arrive at the park in time for the afternoon game drive until sunset. In the park, you will be able to spot different animal species such as elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard, eland, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, warthog, impala, baboon and many more. You will also see hippos and crocodiles at the Hippo Pool. After the sunset, you will exit the park and go to Bastian Camp (or similar) for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Mikumi Wilderness

Mikumi Wilderness

After a delicious breakfast, you will head out to explore Mikumi National Park for a full day with a picnic lunch. This park is famous for plenty of animals of different species. The presence of the Mkata floodplain and Miombo woodland offer plenty of pasture for the animals. The park has big herds of elephants, buffaloes, impalas, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, and warthogs. You will also spot prices of lions and leopards here. At the Hippo Pool you will see hippos and crocodiles. For bird watchers, this park gives a chance to see many different species as it carries more than 350 species of birds. After the sunset, you will exit the park and go to Bastian Camp (or similar) for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Wild Waters & Wilderness

Wild Waters & Wilderness

After a delicious breakfast, you will drive from Mikumi to Nyerere National Park (6 hours). Before arriving at the lodge, you will stop at the Maasai village for a 1-hour cultural tour. On arrival at the lodge, check in and go with your safari guide to the riverbank where you will start your boat safari on the Rufiji River. On this excursion, you will be able to see different species of birds, as well as crocodiles. Sometimes elephants can be spotted drinking along the river, as well as baboons and waterbucks. After the sunset, you will go back to Kinga Lodge for dinner and overnight.

It covers an area of 31,000 sq km and is a real wilderness area that is home to elephant, hippo, giraffe, lion, eland, kudu, crocodile, and hyena. The park also offers bird watching as more than 400 species of birds are found in this Park. Dinner and overnight will be at Kinga Lodge.

After a delicious breakfast, you will explore Nyerere National Park, the largest national Park in Africa. It covers an area of 31,000 sq km and is a real wilderness area that is home to elephant, hippo, giraffe, lion, eland, kudu, crocodile, and hyena. The park also offers bird watching as more than 400 species of birds are found in this Park. Today, you can also visit the Selous grave where Fredrick Selous was buried after his death in the First World War. After the sunset, you will drive back to Kinga Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6

Wildlife Walking Adventure

Wildlife Walking Adventure

Today, you will start at around 6:30 am on the 2-hour walking safari in the forest with Bushmen and an armed ranger. During the walk, you will learn about animal droppings, footprints, flowers, trees, shrubs and herbs as well as insects. The Bushmen will explain how the local people use traditional medicines to treat different diseases. You will then drive back to the lodge for breakfast before starting your journey back to Dar es Salaam for drop-off.
