Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel or airport and depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve, a 5-hour drive, arriving in time for lunch. Masai Mara is a pristine wilderness of haunting beauty! It promises visitors an abundance of wildlife, prolific birdlife, and the opportunity to catch up with all the Big Five members in one morning. The 1800km² of this veteran reserve offers a mix of African imagery: miles of lion-gold grasslands, shoals of lilac-misted hills, a meandering river, acres of thorn-bush, and kilometers of rolling wilderness. Game viewing in the Masai Mara is excellent all year round thanks to the diverse population of resident game, including the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino— and other popular species. The Mara’s big cats are even TV stars in a popular wildlife series! Enjoy an afternoon game drive to spot the Big Five as your introduction to the park. Day 2

Enjoy a full day in the Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. Masai Mara National Reserve offers one of the best opportunities to see cheetahs and lions in Kenya. Visiting this reserve in July will allow you to witness firsthand as thousands of wildebeest migrate across the treacherous crocodile-infested Mara River. This annual wildebeest migration is one of nature's most remarkable wildlife spectacles. The migration is a dramatic mass movement of almost two million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles in a seasonal, annual cycle driven by rainfall. Wildebeests make dramatic river crossings to reach Masai Mara's fresh grazing, facing enormous crocodiles that feast on the Mara plains and regain their strength. November's short rains trigger the last leg of the migration when the wildebeest move south to Serengeti. Return to the tented camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Wake up to an early morning pre-breakfast game viewing drive in Masai Mara. It is the best time to spot cats as they hunt. After the game drive, return to the camp for breakfast and check out. From here, you drive to Lake Nakuru National Park with lunch en route. On entering the park, enjoy your first game drive. Lake Nakuru is a shallow alkaline lake where visitors can enjoy a wide ecological diversity with varied habitats ranging from the lake to the surrounding escarpment and picturesque ridges. A game drive is the main activity at Lake Nakuru. Foragers, grazers, hunters, and scavengers all play their roles in the natural existence of Lake Nakuru. The park also has over 450 bird species, including flamingos. The lake is famed as one of the world's greatest ornithological spectacles. The park is also home to zebras, gazelles, Rothschild giraffes, impalas, a black and white rhino sanctuary, and many other mammals. Dinner and your overnight stay are at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge.

After an early breakfast, you will have a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, one of Kenya's few Great Rift Valley attractions. Lake Nakuru National Park is home to an exceptionally large number of birds. After the game drive, you will depart to Amboseli National Park with a picnic lunch along the way. Arrive at Amboseli in the evening for dinner and overnight at the lodge with spectacular views of Africa's highest mountain—Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 5

Enjoy a full day in Amboseli with game drives in the morning and afternoon as you explore various sections of the park and marvel at the views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. Expect to see large herds of elephants, the most renowned residents of the park, and breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here, ranging from the dried-up riverbed of Lake Amboseli to wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah, and woodlands. You can also visit the local Masai community, who live around the park, an experience of authentic African culture. Animals in the park include leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, crocodiles, mongoose, dik-dik, lesser kudu, and nocturnal porcupines. Another attraction is the Hyrax Hill prehistoric site. There is also a prolific birdlife featuring 600 species. All meals and your overnight stay are at the luxurious Ol Tukai Lodge.

After an early breakfast, you will head out for an extended morning game-viewing drive in Amboseli National Park with the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro as the backdrop, the classic Hollywood images of Africa. Set on rolling savannah scenery, the park is dwarfed by the pink-tinged, snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, towering at 5896 meters. It is the highest free-standing mountain in the world. Vast herds of elephants accompanied by lions, buffaloes, cheetahs, giraffes, baboons, gazelles, hippos, and wildebeest roam freely around the park. You will then exit the park and return to Nairobi with a drop-off at the airport or hotel. You can also spend some time in a hotel in Nairobi City at an extra cost.
