Transfer from Kigali to Bwindi National Park

This tour can start either by picking you direct from Kigali airport or from your hotel/lodge please meet our company representative alongside with your driver/guide for a briefing.

After an early morning breakfast or lunch you will be driven to Bwindi Impenetrable National park forest in Uganda. From Kigali, you will cross the border into Uganda at Katuna, and then check into your reserved lodging/hotel later you will have dinner and an overnight as you prepare for an awesome gorilla trekking experience the next day.

Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

The main attraction of your three-day safari from Kigali, Rwanda, to Uganda is today. You will be assigned to a specific gorilla family/group and later set off with head guide to the forest in search for mountain gorillas after waking up and enjoying a hot cup of tea or coffee, grabbing your packed lunch, you will be driven by your guide to the park office for a briefing about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking in Bwindi.
When you locate them, you will be given an hour to sit with them, watch them play, and feed their babies. Descend to the starting point to pick up your certificates, then drive back to the lodge for lunch and after lunch you will be driven by your guide/driver to Bunyonyi for an overnight there and canoeing/boat taken around the islands and later taken back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight.

Cultural tour and Transfer to Kigali

After breakfast, go on a community tour around Lake Bunyonyi to learn more about the local people’ traditional customs. Your three-day gorilla trekking safari in Uganda will then come to an end as you begin the journey back to Kigali in Rwanda. You may see stunning views of Rwanda’s rice fields and Kabale’s terraced hills on a clear day. Arrive in Kigali in the afternoon, then proceed to the airport to catch your flight back to your respective country.
