Transfer to Airport + Flight to Mara + Game Drives in Masai Mara National Reserve

We will pick you up from your hotel early morning and drive to Nairobi Wilson Airport. Your scheduled flight departs in the morning. Upon arrival, our driver-guide will eagerly await you and after a brief formalities, you'll begin the exploration of the Mara. At noon, you'll enjoy an authentic bush lunch on the plains, perfectly set on a beautiful savannah grassland under the acacia trees providing an excellent natural ambience preferred by people who would like to have an exciting and unique adventure in the middle of nowhere. At 5:00 pm, you'll depart for an educative nature walk with an armed guard and a Maasai dressed in traditional African regalia. The walking safari will be followed by a visit to a Maasai Boma. You'll then transfer to Mara Bush Camp for a luscious dinner and an overnight stay in a secluded and picturesque site on the tree-lined banks of the Masai Mara and Serengeti border.

Full-Day Game Drives in Masai Mara National Reserve

You'll wake up early for a full English breakfast followed by full-day game drives at 7:00 am. Famous for the Great Migration, the park is the only protected area with an indigenous population of the endangered black rhinos. All members of the Big Five reside here all year round. African wild dogs are rare due to the stiff competition from the honchos of the jungle, the golden lions, who often decimate their populations. The Mara ecosystem, spanning across Serengeti and Ngorongoro, has one of the highest densities of predators. Even the dramatic arrival of the annual migration merely adds to an already abundant resident wildlife that awaits discovery. At noon, you'll have a picnic lunch before proceeding for an afternoon game drive in this wildlife sanctuary. At 5:00 pm, you'll begin the drive back to the camp for a scrumptious dinner and an overnight stay. Your sleep is bound to be disturbed by the occasional lion roaring, but remember that it probably sounds closer than it is!

Full-Day Game Drives in Masai Mara National Reserve

You'll wake up for another full English breakfast and game drives at 7:00 am. You'll have a savoury bush lunch at noon on this UNESCO World Heritage Site. This will be another chance to witness Africa's wildlife in their natural habitat with spectacular views. 95 species of animals, amphibians and reptiles, and 450 species of birds are recorded. The numerous private and community-owned conservancies and group ranches surrounding the reserve significantly extend the entire ecosystem. These conservancies have been established as partnerships between the private sector and local Maasai pastoralist landowners to ensure the conservation of the Great Mara-Serengeti ecosystem and the protection of the wildlife within it. At 5:00 pm, you'll begin the drive back to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Game Drives in Masai Mara National Reserve + Flight to Nairobi + Transfer to Hotel

You'll awake at dawn for the final full English breakfast and game drives at 7:00 am. Because of the variety of wildlife, the Mara has for generations been the setting for hundreds of wildlife documentaries, including Disney's African Cats, the BBC's Big Cat Diaries and Planet Earth. The Mara Predator Project catalogues and monitors lion populations throughout the region. Concentrating on the northern conservancies where communities coexist with wildlife, the project aims to identify population trends and responses to changes in land management, human settlements, livestock movements and tourism. You'll feast upon a delicious picnic lunch at noon. Later, you'll be transferred to Keekorok Airstrip for departure on your scheduled flight at 5:00 pm to Nairobi Wilson Airport. You'll arrive at around 5:45 pm. Our driver will then transfer you from the airport to your hotel anywhere in the city.
